    Well done! And very good idea to get faster charging! What do you think about connecting ecoflow alternator charger to the positive of service battery (instead of to van's engine battery)? (Sorry for my english...)

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  8 днів тому

      @@PierFrancescoSerena-xi5cg thank you. You can connect to either the van battery or the leisure battery. The reason I didn’t was because the leisure batteries are charger by solar and the van alternator. The EcoFlow alternator charger also has the ability to reverse charge from the Delta power station so if the van battery is flat for any reason, I can still start the van from the Delta unit. I hope that this makes sense. Thanks again.

    Could you show a better photo or description of the cable connections to the battery? I disconected the negative and positive cables of the battery, and when connected them again, I could not start my promaster 2023 van. The immobilizer fail light came on, and I could not reset it. I had to tow the car to the dealership. I am afraid it may happen again since I were not able to connect the aecoflow alternator charger. My mistake is i couldn't see well on the video where you connected the positive and negative cables of the ecoflow alternator charger. I thought they were supposed to be connected to the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Am I wrong? Was I supposed to disconect the battery in order to connect the positive and negative cables of the ecoflow charger to the same terminals of the battery? Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks.

      @@alvaroplanchart sounds like you have done everything correctly. You just connect the positive and negative cables to the same on the battery. I didn’t disconnect my battery, when doing so.

    Hi there.. I bought one of these and fitted it two week's ago seemed to work well eveytime I started the car it charged my Delta pro at 800 watt all good.. until this weekend went away drove for an hour and a half it charged my Delta pro from 32% to 100% great but started the car this morning and its not working and on the app I see... Car battery port under voltage (32) cant find any answer....🤔

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  4 дні тому

      @@chambpain I sometimes set my voltage to charge when driving to 12v and then when I stop or it’s charged to stop it from draining the van battery set it to 14v OR set to 13v and it will only charge when over 13v and when it falls below as it will when at rest then it doesn’t drain your van battery. I am going to do another video in this very subject.

    Really need to look at the draw on the alternator and van electrics huge potential of burning out the van alternator and flattenning the start batterry will be interested tonsee how you get on

      No excess draw on the Alternator. Our van is fitted with a Smart Alternator so works out where to put the power for each of the batteries.

    Thanks for posting the video. I'm thinking of getting one for my motorhome and wondered if you can wire it up to the leisure battery rather than the starter battery. I'd prefer to do this purely because access would be much easier.

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  16 днів тому

      @@pghoward yes you can. You have the choice between the van battery or leisure battery. I chose van as the leisure more or less take care of themselves and would have more use if I needed to reverse charge to the van battery should it drain for any reason. Hope that helps.

      @@pixx.adventures Many thanks, that's great news as my Ecoflow is right next to the leisure battery under a bench seat so installing the charger next to them both should be simple. The only problem will be what to do with all the excess cable which won't be needed. I'm guessing coiling it up won't be ideal given the danger of overheating. Looking forward to Friday when it's due to arrive. 👍

    Great video. What happens about draw on the alternator when the Battery to Battery charger is running at the same time? I’m looking to get one of these.

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  22 дні тому +1

      Thank you. From what I have deduced and don't quote me on this as I need to confirm it, but our vehicle alternator is a smart alternator. When testing, the vehicle battery and leisure batteries seem to take priority and the power to the EcoFlow is reduced until which time they are fully charged. Once they are at full capacity the EcoFlow then goes to max power charging. As I said, I am still testing it and haven't had the chance to test it fully as yet as the van as been in the garage, being serviced etc. May need to also clarify this with EcoFlow directly. Hope that helps.

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  22 дні тому

      Just to add, I have emailed EcoFlow for confirmation.

    • @vanandcountry
      @vanandcountry 22 дні тому +1

      @@pixx.adventures I think that would be the case. Ours is a smart alternator too. I also have the Delta 2 with a couple of flexible Ecoflow panels and when off grid I have the van plugged into the delta 2. Not overly efficient but it charges the van nicely without us having a drain on the leisure battery which is then fine for dull days. Need to find a way to go more direct to the leisure battery. Will also buy the spare Ecoflow battery too.

      @@pixx.adventures great. I think it’s worth knowing. If you do this mod though you just need to accept the alternator will have a shorter life.
