I do like the few unique(-ish) rampages: -Madama Butterfly's endgame form -The Umbra Clock Tower turning into a... springbox? -Wartrain Gouon in permanent "face-out" mode as well as having the chainsaws turning it into one of the most dangerous rampaging demons, to balance the whistle mechanic -Idk if this counts but Phantasmaranae gets the color palette he had in 2, where he was also a mindless rampaging beast rather than the articulate demon in 3 -Gomorrah's menacing red eyes, which makes sense because this asshole has canonically gone berserk like three times already! -Also it seems that Labolas is always in dispersed mode? Which, yeah, kinda hard to maintain a united body when you're rampaging beasts. Apparently not a problem for Mictlantecuhtli tho -Oh and of course most of them also looking exactly like taunted enemies, which is best seen by taunting the demons you do fight otherwise (like Rodin or Baal, though the latter is much better seen in the secret chapter)

She's not talking to the demon. After the demon is finished rampaging, they are marked as "dead" and she only says that after one of her demons are killed.
same with Phantasmaraneae, it’s greatly stated in the second game that once you earned her respect she’ll happily serve you which is exactly what Bayo did in this game

Labolas overall makes me feel bad if you read his lore. He is just a fusion of five cats that got lost in hell and had survived long enough down there. His ice breath is a manifestation of the fear they carried all the way untill they became a demon. Some of these lore entries are so dark.

I suspect this showcase is in Infinite Climax difficulty, a.k.a. the hardest difficulty. Usually the higher the difficulty, the more fragile Bayo is (for example, in Casual difficulty, she practically can NOT die)
So from this I consider the worse demon rampages to come from baal, the train, the big bat and rodin as they can just take a whole health bar from you... others like the spider, madama and labolas seem situational.
I'm actually wondering how you do the grab rush move for Rodin, I know he can do it in rampage, but I got em to do it once while spamming buttons trying to figure out how to make him enrage during their dance attack. Not sure if it was a glitch or not. I ended up seeing him do it while enraged after I randomly managed to get Bayonetta to enrage to begin with. Poor singularity.
I had him do it a few times as well by smashing buttons. I cannot tell which combo does trigger it. Isn't there a demon combo list in the book section? I never bother going through those.
The demons become enraged when they've taken too much damage or have been overworked like the train. You can prevent it by timing your summons better or equipping the accessory that prevents them from rampaging on ya
What what ? Bonus points to Platinum for coming up with it. Useful ? Not really. Incredibly reinforcing to the whole idea of demon slaves as mechanics ? Yessssss.
@@chrisk5512 Might also need to clarify that the entire Demon Slave mechanic is basically the further development of the Astral Chain battle mechanics where protagonist's controlled creatures are much more powerful and versatile then he himself is. There are even the *FLASH* moments at the end of combos and counterattacks that need the player to summon JUST as he's getting attacked. In Astral Chain these are called "perfect calls". I am saying all of this obvious stuff to say that in Astral Chain these creatures can go on a rampage as well, I think. They certainly CAN be unchained for a bit of time for automated combo attack chain. Astral Chain's a good game. Too bad it's under the presumption it's a role-playing game sometimes.
My theory is that when a demon is attacked while enslaved, the magic power that has absolute control over them creates a feedback that also drives the demons crazy aside from also being enraged.

Some big hits will kill then out right, others fill up a little meter beside their icon's on the magic meter
If you don’t want to use the earring, the best you can do is unsummon them when you’re suspicious of them getting enraged, otherwise, good luck-

With one rage bar you press A right before you accept his hand. He will not kill you 100% unlike the other demons that will make you drop to 0
