Yeah, last week I was staying at this hotel and somebody dropped a six pack of beer out the window and it hit a guy… he got up and walked right away because it was light beer
I remember back in my day when you went to an auto store they had to look in books to find the part you needed, no computers back then, yes I’m old lol
Remember the old Chilton manual, was about a foot thick, weighted about 25 lbs.Had detailed info on how to do this and how to do that,it also had pictures of the front and rear ends of the model car through out the years you were working on.Those were the days, yea,im old too.
Purchased a water pump from my local napa with a lifetime warranty. Less than one year later it goes out and and napa can’t find it in their system that I ever bought it. They “Looked deeper “ and said “we have not sold that pump in over 2 years” I then showed the receipt and got my replacement. Just goes to show you how they will treat you if they can get away with it.
Just now came across your video here. I like your sarcasm and opinion about the part stores and what their actually selling to us. I have a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I6 4.0 and soon to get a water pump. Keep up the good work on letting me know about these companies, prices, and recommendations.
Yeah, sometimes I’m sarcastic but one of the things I really like to do in my videos mostly is inspire and empower folks to do things themselves and send a positive message. Happy to have you Todd. Thank you so much I very much appreciate it.
I've always had good experiences with Napa parts when it comes to aftermarket parts. Napa parts generally seem to be of higher quality compared to the other aftermarket auto parts chains. Yes, Napa can cost a pretty penny more than the other aftermarket places, but if you can afford it, I think Napa parts are worth it.
I was a parts driver for my local NAPA in NJ. I thought they had superior parts verses the other stores. We did a lot of commercial sales. I've toyed with the idea of opening a NAPA parts store here in Florida.
And it looks like the only place you can be pretty much guaranteed to get that genuine OEM part is from the stealership. After paying what I paid for last through Rockauto, I'll just be going there from now on, plus I won't have to wait for the slow shipping, which I paid an exorbitant amount for. And you're right. Motorcraft quality cannot be duplicated at all, in some instances. Their over the plug ignition coils for instance, as found on the 4.6, while expensive from Motorcraft, cannot be manufactured to last for any reasonable amount of time from anyone else, and A LOT of companies have tried.
Love your videos... this one had me laughing TOTALLY! Now personally I often use Advanced for 2 reasons... same day delivery {I can't pick up when my car is down}, and I have a great relationship with the local store... I buy there so damn much that the manager gives me a little discount LOL I avoid the Zone like biden avoids reality...
Yeah, that’s what I gathered. I gathered it really all three of them are pretty much the same but it seemed like the master pro and GMB were the cheaper of the three
You should go to a jeep dealer and buy your water pump it will cost alot more but you are getting best quality with updated specs at time of manufacture
You didn’t watch the video I’m guessing because the parts are exactly the same… there’s only so many manufactures of water pumps in the world…. Jeep is not a manufacturer of water pumps…… they are a manufacturer and assembler of automobiles. It is not the same thing assembler like Jeep assemble parts that they don’t personally produce. They produce engines true, but they do not produce the parts on the outside of the engine because it’s not cost-effective…. They design them and other manufacturers produce them so that’s why it’s not necessary to go to the manufacturer and actually purchase something unless you just like giving them free money
More than likely they’re made at the same place and they’re always gonna look the same as the factory. I suppose the whole point of this video. Was that it doesn’t matter where you buy it from. It’s all the same junk.
There's a very serious problem in this country on Volkswagen and Honda and foreign cars they no longer have the parts people all over America have been waiting over a year to get parts for their car that is just sitting in the garage that they can't drive or use because no one is able to get parts for the car anymore this has been going on for a couple years now it's getting a little attention very little news on it !!!!! If you're thinking about buying a car you should do some research on the internet on how hard it is to get parts for that car listen to me carefully do not trust the dealer !!!!

6:13 The darker aluminum is made from melted-down beer cans. The lighter aluminum is made from melted-down *light* beer cans. Hence it's lighter.

Ford parts are excellent.
So are all Motorcraft maintenance products like Filters etc.
Made in the USA.

Motorcraft filters are made by Purolator to Ford specs, or at least Purolator used to.
@@bcubed72 Yes that's right.
I couldn’t find a made in USA water pump for my 96 bronco, including Motorcraft. All Chinese. Ended up getting a gates for $30
Thanks for the videos clay👍

Gates makes Napa water pumps, I use acdelco water pump, great video man...
Parts store pumps are junk, got a driveworks pump for my ford ranger, failed in 9 months. OEM lasted all up until 190k.
so basically master pro is gmb? been trying to figure it out
which is korean company thats been around a long time
Yeah, that’s what I gathered. I gathered it really all three of them are pretty much the same but it seemed like the master pro and GMB were the cheaper of the three
yep says right on it gmb
Napa is the best
Gates makes napa water pumps
Impellers would bin good comparison too...

Why is it that the part I want to buy for my truck looks the same at NAPA, Standard, AC Delco and O'Reilly?
