What’s the goal?
The goal for this docu-series is to highlight athletes and give them their flowers now. I A’Tiah Amillian aims to provide an outlet for athletes to control their narrative and voice their story to the world. Oftentimes the media sets out to create their own stories and attach labels where they don’t belong. Rather than focusing on what we as outsiders would presume, I want to delve deeply into each individual to discover their true selves (in and outside sports). Another pro is that documentation is always good to look back on to see personal growth and development. The name “FEM-phenoms" is self explanatory. A phenomenon is defined as “a person who is outstandingly talented or admired,”. “FEM” , short for female, is the gender pronoun that I’ll be focusing on…
WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
Most people may think that it’s a catch for anything that’s free but not always. Creating content has been my passion for a while. As I continue to learn more and discover new things visually and in sports I enjoy testing myself, surpassing my set limits, and producing new projects that are better than the last. Working with athletes allows me to build a protected platform and be a vessel for athletes. Doing so also allows me to network and build my personal brand and take a dive into players needs and desires for my future career as a sports agent/lawyer.
AMILLY MOTTO
We’re in power, without hustle we don’t meet the goal, without expectations we don’t succeed. It’s time to change and evolve. It is more to us than what they can see.
