Acid testing the surface will not tell whether the jewel is full silver or only silver plated. You have to break the surface with a file and to put solution on the broken surface in order to determine whether you were sold only a 925 plated silver item. Similarly acid test does not work on rhodium plated silver unless you file the surface to test the metal underneath. I suspect that a popular store on Aliexpress sells silver plated items and advertises them as 100% silver, but I have not got an acid test yet.

Does testing this damage the silver? Like will that white mark stay on there permantly?
Hi, yes it leave the mark but it's very easy get read of the mark just polish with polish cloth :)
