How to make simple sr latch using 2 transistors
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 лют 2017
- two transistor sr latch is a simple circuit which can store 1 bit of memory.
note that sr latch can also be made from logic NAND or NOR gates but logic gates itself are made from transistors.
this circuit can also be used as a debounce circuit .
components used :
1. NPN transistors 2n2222 or 2n3904 (*2)
2. 10k ohm resistors(*4)
3. led (*2)

The 4K ohms of resistance didn’t let my LEDs glow, but it still worked.
Thank you bro I was so confused on other tutorials this is just genius
Thanks. Worked for me. Thought it didnt work at first for me, but my 5mm green led hard to gauge with lower voltage source and working with my desk lamp. Complete darkness, smaller blue leds, or higher voltage (more AA batteries) helped
Thank you, very clear on how to make :-)
Thank you so much! This will be my ram on my computer 8bit :D
Go ahead brother!
@@curiosity551 watch my newest video it shows it working :D
I used 220ohm resistors from +5v to the collectors. 10kohm at 5v means only (5/10000) 0.5mA of current, which does not turn on my led.
Same but I fixed it, just do what he did or increase the voltage
I have lots of gratitude towards you, thanks
I copied this with different V and R values and its working but I do not completely understand how it works in terms of electrons flow.
Where would you put the buttons on the sketch at the begin of the video ? Is putting buttons behind the 10k resistor that is connected to the base of the NPN transistor correct ?
Thank you sir!
Awesome, it worked.
I’m trying to figure out how to do this with a single momentary switch so second led would be on when button is pressed and switches back to 1 when let go.
There is something called' D latch ' in electronics. Ic4013 is dual d latch ic. You got to use one of these.
Why does current flow through the LED initially when the transistor is active? Why does it not short circuit through the transistor?
Thanks a lot man, I have made 2 nand gate with some transistors, my NAND gates are effectives but I don't know how to make the same circuit logic of your video with my NAND gates, I know the official diagram for nand gates but when I want to make this with transistors ( and no with TTL Nand ) I'm totally lost, can you help me to solve it ? :-)
Interesting
bhai logic gates ni use kiya apne??
I take my words back...
?
@@DanielBerzinskasi made an earlier comment hating on him for not working. But it was my mistake and fixed it after all.
I tried it when i touch resistor right side led flash inleft same touch left side led flash right what is the fault i dont know elec knowledge
Hold it longer, I ran into that too.
Cool, but where are the set / reset inputs? I guess what you have is just a latch, without an S or an R...
Shall I use BC 547 transistor??
Yes it works with that, ibi used bc547 too.
I need the circuit to use it in a jk flip flop, can you give me a photo of the circuit with the switchs?
so do you want to make jk flip flop using transistors?
Exactly
Exactly
+RioPlatense well i need to think about schematic of it. but it is possible to make one. but making a jk flip flop using logic gates rather than single transistors is much more easy.i you really want to make one just send me email id here.
r!shi kesh I really want to make one, mi email is RioPlatenseM@gmail.com
I did JK flip flop with transitors but it works badly, because the output is very weak
Boss.. a little help.. If I just need to toggle a single led.. how can I achieve that.. like in first click of a push button the led on, next click it should off.. like that.. I dont need the second led.. Im studying electronics basics.. any help highly appreciated... thanks
Sandeep Thomas this is bit tricky than you think.but best way is using a switch debouncer (ic 40106) and feed its output to clock input of D latch (ic 4013). if you connect the inverted output of d latch to data input the d latch will toggle from high to low or vice versa. this circuit will give you precise pulse at the output. for more help meet me on hangouts...my id is rishikeshmalkar@gmail.com
using a toggle latch, not an sr latch
Give circuit diagram.
