To me lighting is everything. It creates a dense atmosphere. Even as a beginner without many items I just love to design a believable and cosy camp. Thank you for your tips.
What is absolutely sad is it works and is not already an option to begin with. There's a special place of hatred in my heart relongated to Fallout 76 building mechanics.
It’s a limitation to their old and crappy game engine which they refuse to drop for Unreal 5. Unfortunately too many objects in close proximity causes FPS lag which why they have limitations on how many items you can place in a camp and why they don’t allow you to merge them without a glitch/hack. This is Bethesda after all. What do you expect? A fully working and bug free experience?😂

Sick! This is definitely helpful, especially to someone like me who stepped away from the game more than a few times over the past year. There’s a two step merge that I’ve used which I’m not sure if builders are aware of, and if you haven’t tried it, you may want to. It allows you to stack most objects on top of each other. All you need to do is grab 2 objects that normally don’t stack, say object A for the bottom, and object B for the top. Use foundation drops to sink object A into the foundation until only a tiny bit remains visible, but you can still select/grab it. Now place object B on top in the manner you choose. Pull object A out as they are now stacked, and merge the two together as you see fit. 🎉

Great tutorial NV. Loved your lighting tutorial too. I just built my first camp using basic merges but managed a swimming pool, Italian restaurant with pizza oven and some merged lights. Now I don't want to destroy it for another camp but will.
i was getting frustrated trying to understand how to do foundation merges and your tip about positioning and camera angle was exactly what other youtubers, that i've watched, failed to mention. 👍
You and the others are very creative and very good builders. I'm on Xbox and I myself personally could not be bothered merging all this stuff. I do basic things such as sinks into cabinets that's it lol. I don't like losing a lot of budget. I love building and do my best but with this little merging as possible. This video was pretty interesting though and the creativeness is crazy what you all come up with. I have someone I play with and he's always merging things together and coming to my camp telling me Oh you should merge this and merge that and I'm like no 😂 or he says it would look better if you do it this way and I'm like no 😂

Earned my sub! Just started playing 76 again after never really giving it a true chance, and ive been hooked. Built some really amazing bases without any building tutorials and learned to minorly break the game to allow so of the builds i have done, such as wiring going through walls and outsmarting the placement setting by replacing certain build pieces to make it how i want it to be exactly, going to be doing some base tours soon cause its honestly my favorite thing to do in the game lmao. I just made a base under the morgantown railroad and must say itd look super nice with some merging done throughout it, sad thing is i have no budget on any of my builds 😂😭
It’s so addictive! I actually started my channel so I could enter a camp building contest. I lost, but I liked being able to share what I spent so much time and effort on. Plus it’s easier to scrap them if I know I’ll have a video to look back on. Sounds like you have some great ones! I always use up my budget 😅
@NukaViolet I recently got my 4th camp slot and had made an insane 3 story underground vault slash batcave, still have yet to do much merging as I don't have that great of plans to make to great of use just yet. But I always die at the fact I spend so much time in my camp in 76 that I have to prioritize certain play sessions to purely questing and exploring elsewhere than my bunker 😅😂
@NukaViolet thank you for making the content. As a creator myself, it's always nice to have some insight on inspiration to add with a twist to my own content. I can see that contest all in all did you and your channel very well, and I hope you only get bigger and bigger as a creator!

@@NukaViolet you’re more the welcome. I was looking for a merging video and i found you’re name between the results and since i know and love you’re work from dtd gamers weekly contests i knew i was in the right place. The way you give the tips is very clear and easy to understand. The first thing i tried was the light in the tv aquarium it was an instant succes. ( it looks brilliant by the way ) I do have a question is it just me or did bethesda really made the shelters almost impossible to build efficiently in ? since there rooms look so off when you set floors in them they’re measurements look so far off.
@@BlackhawkWoTConsole that’s awesome! Let me know what you’d like to see in future videos. The shelters are like Custom worlds, where you have more freedom over placement. You can toggle snapping on or off, which helps free place or snap exactly where you want the object to go. What exactly were you having issues with?
@@NukaViolet The only problem i have is that i loose allot of my build area because the length and with of the shelter never fully get used if you build floors. There is always a loss of just less of a half floor on all sides. And for the same reason i also loose the side rooms because i can never make an entry that looks like normal doorway to those side rooms. For future video’s i will definitely give you feedback ones i am done with catching up on all the ones you have already. I must say i have seen 4 at the moment and i am blown away on how much inspiration you have you really have a tallent !

Great video for a one stop shop on merging. Your videos always have such a professional feel and look. I still struggle with foundation merges. I should challenge myself to an all foundation merge build. My biggest a-ha moment was when you showed the back side of the merges in the walls like the fireplace and the red computers, that is genius! Second biggest was to look at objects from the top. Thanks for doing this, it will go in my Favorite Fallout Tutorials playlist along with the lighting one. 😻
It’s a great idea to challenge yourself. I do that with every build. I’ve rebuilt the one I’m working on 3 times now. 😂 I appreciate your comments Nener! Thanks so much for watching 💕
@@NukaViolet 3 times, oh no, but been there. I am currently stuck on filming. I finish builds and have these ideas for epic videos but I need to drum up 18 actors on PSN for one. Crazy, right?
@@NenerAlabaster I was planning on doing a tutorial on that too 😄👍🏼
Aloha Nuka! You are a huge inspiration for my camp builds. Your voice is so soothing. Hope all is well. 🤙
That’s awesome! Great to see you again Kalani. Have a good one, mahalo!
Thank you so much! Your videos help ignite the creative fire!
Oh nice! Thanks Nuka!
I needed this ever since I seen your camp and talked with you I have merged somethings but couldn't get some things right so of course i said screw it until now hahahaha lol awsome video as always . ❤
Haha! I can show you some stuff if you get stuck. 😄 Thanks Kristy!
This was incredible. Learned a few new things, but more importantly saw some gorgeous camps. Much love, joy and peace to you all.
Thanks so much! 😊✨💕
@@NukaViolet You are very welcome. I memorized the name of this video 6 months ago and still share it with anyone who asks about my camp. Truly, you did a great job with this. Plus, the enthusiasm for your work is clear just from your tone of voice, which really inspires me to build stuff every time I see this video. Much love, joy and peace to you all.
@@grahammeyer-kv4wl oh wow, that is so kind of you! It really makes my day to read this. Thank you Graham 💕
Well worth the wait. Great video 🤗
Thanks Lucy! I appreciate your contribution too 😊
Great source for all builders, thanks! Your attention to detail is crazy!
I appreciate that Charles! 🥰
As an experienced builder, this video is a master class and a wealth of ideas and knowledge! Thanks!
nuka violet back with a banger 🙏🏻 I’ve always built insane camps but never really merged, this video helps me a ton there’s just so much helpful details lol
Thank you Lyric! That’s great to hear 😄👍🏼

Oh you wanted an actual comment? 🙄 Fine, here it goes. Lots of great info in this video, and I learned a couple things! This is noteworthy because as a God among men, I already know everything. Thank you so much, and also it’s called Sinky Dirt ffs.
But for real great video! Can tell you put lots of time into this
Haha, well I appreciate your comments always, even the sarcastic ones. 😋 Thanks for the contribution Church! 😄
Great tutorial NV. Loved your lighting tutorial too. I just built my first camp using basic merges but managed a swimming pool, Italian restaurant with pizza oven and some merged lights. Now I don't want to destroy it for another camp but will.
Awesome! Well maybe you can just do a little renovation around your merges? Sounds like a nice camp. Thanks for watching! 😄💕
HA. just bumped into this video and this gonna definitely send me to another realm of decorating in fallout 76! Thanks!
Oh yeah! Nice! Thanks for watching and happy building 😄
i was getting frustrated trying to understand how to do foundation merges and your tip about positioning and camera angle was exactly what other youtubers, that i've watched, failed to mention.
I have someone I play with and he's always merging things together and coming to my camp telling me Oh you should merge this and merge that and I'm like no 😂 or he says it would look better if you do it this way and I'm like no 😂
Haha! Well you definitely don’t have to merge. It’s just a way to take it a bit further if you get bored. I like that friend! 😂👍🏼 Thanks for watching Baby! ❤️
@@NukaViolet LOL I told my buddy if you keep telling me to merge stuff I'm going to feed you to the sheepsquatch and block you after. 😂 🤷🏻♀️
@@babygrizwold 🤣
This is a one video sub. Easy to follow. Clear enough to immed reproduce. Wish more did what you do. Educate
I appreciate it Blackebl! 😄
O.O ........ So saving this video in my Fav's so I can keep coming back to it to make sure I learn every type of Merging. THANK YOU VIOLET!
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching 😄💗
Damn. This is.. I don’t even know where to start or what to say. Just amazing merges. Like how you come up with so many different merges but also doing such a good video on it. Good job 💕🖤
I appreciate that Ruby! Thanks so much for watching 🥰
wow this is so neat I just started playing Fallout 76 for the first time and as a obsessive camp builder this is going to be allot of fun to play around with!
Nice! Oh yeah, definitely addictive 🤭😋
Thank you for this!! Can't wait to try these out!
Yes! Thank you for checking it out 😄
Epic. I rarely watch a video over 15 minutes. This was worth it.
Awe! I appreciate it Matt! 🥰👍🏼
I didn't even know I needed this in my life, till right now...this is so awesome!
Thank you! 😄👌🏼
Thank you so much for the time you put into this video tutorial. It has awakened the builder in me and I will be studying this for some time to come. I will also be visiting the others you give credit to. Very inspiring, we'll done!
Thanks! I really appreciate you watching. Happy building 😄👍🏼
By far one of the best guides, thank you! wish me luck!
Thank you! No luck needed, you got this 😉
This is a game changer!

Wow super helpful thanks
Thank you for watching! 😊
Another fantastic tutorial...there were some tricks that I had never seen before. Thanks for all the great insight and detail in these videos :)
Thank you so much for watching Fuzz! Glad I could show you something new. I appreciate it! 😀

You are too kind! 💕
Thank you so much, i just got into fallout 76 the past month and i have been seeing SOO many awesome camps and have so many ideas. Next time i log on its going to be time to practice. I just unlocked the pressure plate and now feel like i can do it
That's great! It's so much fun. You'll have a blast. Thanks for watching!
Great video, I have over 500hrs on fallout 76 but I just started to use merging techniques. This video helps a lot. 🙂
Awesome! That’s a lot of play time. Merging opens up a lot more building opportunities, it’s so fun! 😊
Absolute genius level of creativity!
You are too kind! 🥰✨💕
@@NukaViolet Good thing you responded, since YT is currently in a brocken state, (I instantly subbed 4 days ago) after watching a few of your videos, yet as I had to see, YT again fake subbed, (When one presses sub, it shows you did, but one didn't, if you catch my drift) Boy am I glad, thank you. Truely inspiring! ^^
@@JanoschNr1 YT is a little wonky sometimes. Thank you so much for the sub! I think you’ll enjoy my next upload 😁
Never been into building but this has definitely encouraged me to try.
Oh nice! I hope you do. Just remember, baby steps! 😁👍🏼
Such a fantastic tutorial! I watched it when it released but forgot to comment, had to come back to make sure to thank you! Definitely picked up some awesome info in here!
Thank you for watching Galactic! I’m glad you learned something new. I love to watch quality tutorials, so it makes me happy when you say mine was beneficial. 😄 I appreciate the comment too! 🥰
@@NukaViolet Super beneficial, and I'm sure it's helped many builders in the community create the camp of their dreams! :D
Welp i just learned alot, can't wait to give these a go! Thanks NukaViolet!
That’s great! Thanks for watching! 🥰
Well spoken with all the steps best step by step video I've seen on camp building. Thank you
Earned my sub!
Thank you for watching!
Sounds like you need to make a channel!! I really appreciate your kind words 🥰
Whoa I just now am seeing this channel! This is incredible stuff! I've been playing 76 since launch and I never knew most of this! I've done little merges and most of them by happy accident, but this makes me want to work on all of my CAMPs
Awesome! Thanks so much for watching Mary! 🥰
... and still fewer than 7k subscribers? That's just nuts. A+ work. You seriously deserve wider exposure. Technical acumen, high production level, watchability, it's all here.
You are too kind! Thank you so much! 🥰
I started Fallout 76 like a week ago and am already enamored with the camp system just like I was with the settlement system in 4.
Likewise this is the first video I watched of you, since randomly popping up in my recommended.
The first thing I would like to say, is that your voice is ridiculously calming.
the second thing: oh my god you can do stuff like that?! this is amazing! Thank you so much for making this.
Awe, haha! I appreciate the kind words. 🥰 You can do quite a bit in 76 now. I have a few more tutorials in the works that will help with building. Welcome to the community and thanks for watching! 😄👍🏼
Just recently got back into playing 76. And man, there are still many things to learn in this game it's ridiculous
Welcome back 😄
I have been really struggling lately. I just lost my drive and honestly have just been privately bitter at myself for not being able to come up with ideas. You definitely just helped reinvigorate some creative flow.
Thank you, you did a fantastic job on this tutorial.
Awe! I’ve really been missing your builds! I hope you come back to building. I’m happy I was able to get the creative juices flowing again. I plan on making another tutorial to help with that too. Thanks for watching! ❤️😉👍🏼
Here is some advice to come up with new refreshing idea. Find a quiet place to think. My best ideas come from when I'm in a quiet area or room!
@@meatyboy8811 for sure! My best ideas pop in my head while taking a shower 😂
@NukaViolet 👍🍹😀
@NukaViolet Try eating pineapple in the shower. No joke really tasty and oddly brings out the great flavors!😱
NukaViolet, I’ve been a fan since getting into Fallout 76. I’ve spent many hours trying to figure out some of your building techniques. I’ve discovered some, but couldn’t get to that completely finished look. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this video with us. You are incredibly creative and a talented artist. Love your channel ❤️ I’m so excited to start something new!
Hey! I appreciate that so much. :) Half the fun is trying to figure out how they did it. Thanks for watching!

Yay! I’m always glad to hear when people learn something new from my videos. I appreciate that! 🥰💖
@@NukaViolet you’re more the welcome. I was looking for a merging video and i found you’re name between the results and since i know and love you’re work from dtd gamers weekly contests i knew i was in the right place. The way you give the tips is very clear and easy to understand. The first thing i tried
was the light in the tv aquarium it was an instant succes. ( it looks brilliant by the way )
I do have a question is it just me or did bethesda really made the shelters almost impossible to build efficiently in ? since there rooms look so off when you set floors in them they’re measurements look so far off.
@@BlackhawkWoTConsole yeah the shelters are a little weird to build in. Thank you so much! 😄
I came across a beautiful cabin build and had no idea how they made it like that. Now looking back, it must have been a glitch build I came across. Friggin awesome. I've been looking for good glitch build videos and I'm liking yours so far lol.
I appreciate that! 😊

I still love the wooden bunny pin and the jukebox fishtank 💙
Thanks Nuka! 😁❤️
As someone who's had a hard time figuring this out, I'm going to try that method in the beginning tonight.
I've been trying the stacking method by adding rugs between layers and placing items onto it
I've been dying on how to figure out all the tricks to building and this was the perfect video for me. Thanks for the really in depth 1 stop shop tutorial! Duck pond camp would definitely make me laugh if I wandered across it. I'd think it was a part of the actual game map 😂
You’re welcome! Yeah, Lanthar has some creative ones for sure. Thanks for watching Heyoka! 😄💕
@@NukaViolet no problemo happy wandering 👌😁
I long to see already 😎👍
Thanks Jeff! 😄
Another good way of merging simple is using the power armor to put items that normally can’t be placed down, I.E. a candle, then place something like the fasnauht lantern over to give a lighted lantern look.
Awesome video I learned so much being new to FO76 I'm stoked to try these out
Nice! Have fun and welcome to the Fallout community 😄👍🏼
