How are we supposed to stay safe while living in on-campus housing? We are told to stay in our dorm rooms if we get covid, but the healthy roommate gets screwed over. What are we paying for?
I refuse to share a room or bathroom with individuals who test positive for COVID-19, which is inevitable regarding the new policies for isolating in-place in residence halls. The first-year live-on requirement has left us no choices regarding how we can protect ourselves if a roommate, hallmate, or suitemate tests positive.
Soooo not gonna say anything about how quarantine housing is overwhelmed or say anything about changing how they are dealing with everything? Great, thanks 👍
How are we expected to maintain personal responsibility when we go to a school that does not give incentive to do so? I came into contact with 2 people who tested positive, and then quarantined myself and emailed my teacher asking for the zoom link to a lab. I was not giving the zoom link because I did not test positive yet and was not officially in quarantine. What are you telling students when you punish them for protecting their fellow classmates?
We're doing "everything we can" but it looks like you aren't, Woodson. Keeping classes in-person and having people isolate in their dorm rooms with their roommates is incredibly irresponsible. We all know you're waiting for tuition checks to come in before sending everyone home because "oh no, it's too bad now!" Your selfishness is deadly.
Just gonna be a repeat of fall 2020. Bring everyone in, say everything is fine, then 3 weeks in send everyone home. I am incredibly frustrated with this behavior. If we go online again I am almost certain I am going to drop out until we can safely be on campus again. I can't do another semester of online classes. I just can't.
Sire, I really hope that you move us remotely. Face to face learning is making things worse. Around 1800 positive cases on campus between students and faculty so far. Based on NC state COVID Dashboard data
every testing site on campus has been overwhelmed to the max and it’s only the first week. our professors are doing more than what our administration are doing. NCSU is putting their students on the sidelines.
That was only because of bad move in organization. First, testing was closed for the weekend. Second, Move in time was friday-sunday only. Third, EVERYONE had to get tested when they moved in. This resulted in everyone getting tested on friday and monday.
@@benboi3077 Fair. I feel like nc state has done a poor job but its still better than other systems in the state. I know app state does not require testing and does not report its cases.
@@Zacon2mlg there are literally 40K students on campus, its a public campus and not everybody stays on campus. going onto Hillsborough street puts you in contact with other people outside of campus. you come into contact with faculty and other students who go home to their families on a daily basis.

This is so sad I cried a little bit while I was reading it
Solve the problem and move classes online... Stop being money-focused, and care about the health of your students.
bruh its over
Basically: Everyone will get it and that's what we want :|

What a joke
What the heck. So if my immune compromised son’s roommate tests positive for Covid my son is supposed to stay in the same room now?
What a joke. Leaving students out to die or deal with chronic repercussions because you care too much about money. NCSU has fallen.
whos dying bro?

with more cases come more hospitalizations no matter how “mild” it may seem, that is how this works. even if you can handle it, some people cannot.
