Miyamoto Musashi - The Way Seen In All Things

  • Miyamoto Musashi was a legendary dual wielding samurai who won 61 duels in Japan. A Kensei or Sword Saint of Japan, he was undefeated, studying not only the sword, but also philosophy and strategy. Absolutely he transcended swordsmanship... He was a philosopher; but as result, some of the work he's shared is difficult to grasp even today. Why is this? In this segment we'll be taking a closer glance at something Miyamoto Musashi wrote in his work... It goes as: "If you know the way broadly you will see it in everything." ― Miyamoto Musashi
What does this mean exactly? Thank you for joining me on this breakdown as we take a closer glance.

True. I read a quote from an old guru that said "Man should not be passionate." Passion causes feelings of lust or love to spring up. These dudes were not fucking around when it came to enlightenment.

There is a rumor that a group of scientists successfully cloned Miyamoto Musashi. They hired a Spirit Medium to call his soul out from the netherworld to inhabit the new body. What they found is that Musashi had a peculiar skeletal structure and eyes that gave him catlike reflexes and abilities. His grip strength--as one could guess--was phenomenal. Also, his mental power was such that he could hypnotize people into thinking he had just cut them. He then decided to enter an underground fighting tournament (oh wait, this is Baki Dou...)

    A favorite part of mine

    I reflect
