Great video brother. Like the homage style to the real founders of modern bushcraft. The steak looked great in your new pan. Looking forward to the weekend. Ade
What a lovley vid, no messin real time, just great, thanks. On top of that it looks like you live somewhere nice and what is that backpac, looks like the ones Dave Cantebury uses? Nice.
Thanks man i really appreciate the comment, yeah it real cool where i live quite a lot of nice woodland to explore!! The pack is a Duluth, i love it but it is on the heavy side and no real structure to it but its a real solid pack ive used for years now and its in quite a few of my other videos too :0) hope that helped buddy? Danny
Thanks Danny for such a nice video. All-in-all I enjoyed everything. I'd like to make a comment? Why not leave the music out? I muted the sound myself to watch the video until the comments at the end. I'd like to suggest that you do the videoing with some kind of sound pick up: the sound of the birds, the water, building a fire, the cooking, breaking fire wood, unwrapping the shelter, sitting in the dry grass, insects, wind, leaves, putting out the fire, walking along, using a firestick, etc. I think the natural sounds if 'being in' and '' interacting with' Nature have much more drama than any commentary. But above all, thanks. Mike
Nice one Danny. Some nice scenes there. Good to see your bushcraft skills and the wildlife about in your area. I like the classic style effect...I can see how Dick Proenekke's videos have inspired you here. Looking forward to the next one! Cheers...Donny.
Thanks Donny, i really like this style as i cringe at the sound of my voice on camera so i might try this style more!!! ha ha plus no one wants to listen to me ramble on!!! Danny
great video danny i really enjoyed watching it. great bushcrfat skills mate thank you for a enjoyable 1.14 minutes . time well spent. take care my friend atb mo
no taters, onions and shrooms, I feel incomplete :"( , nice video overall though. Just think grocery shopping/ culinary skills are developed, just like anything else. And then the sandwich with no dark mustard or sauteed onion and shrooms, that's a crime for my tastes. I will try to carry on...
+mountaintruth1 haha thanks for watching, yeah i went to the shop before hand... it was to make a point really... there's a lot of folk on here who try the smoke and mirrors approach to their videos and I wanted to come from the angle... yeah i went to the shop bought some steak some bread... went to the woods spent some time practicing tracking and enjoyed being in nature. It's about being there i feel not trying to pretend anything. I was a crime for me too but after a long time in the woods It sure tasted good anyway! ;) All the best and thanks for the support Danny
Where is this my fellow northern wanderer? Looks nice. And by the way, you are exactly the sort of person I love to bump into on my travels, well relaxing video. Ignore the idiots, you thought it looked good with the old school film look, that's your choice so do what the fuck you want! Peace our kid :)
Lol this guys jus pulls out a steak and pan in the woods lol!!you arnt showing much on survive skills more like camping ones but cool vid that steak looks good af rn.😊😊
I don't at any point give any indication that there are survival skills needed or required in this video or any of my videos. I'm someone who like to spend time outdoors and in woodlands, that doesn't mean you need survival skills. Just an understanding of nature and some outdoors skills to enjoy your time there. Glad you enjoyed it all the same though and thanks for watching.
great video brother. I like slowed down, longer videos myself. More engaging and more of an experience. Dropped a Sub, bout to check out some other vids. ATB -Nate
