I have a question. If we connect an external speaker to the optical audio out do the internal speakers of the tv also function. In my old mi tv they don't function but in my Samsung tv optical audio out and internal speakers work simultaneously.
Another thing to consider is the width of the base from front end to back end, it is more than 35cms. This width consumes the full depth on most TV stands. Ideal depth for a suitable TV stand would be 45 to 50cms in order to accommodate this TV along with a decent soundbar.

In all, I am extremely happy with my purchase and the service provided. It is unthinkable to be owning a 75 inch TV as good as this for the price I paid for it.

@@prasoonsharma5205 I use Airtel Xstream box. Best to watch HD or above. SD channels show visible patches at closer range. But in the end this size TV is not meant to be watched at close range. I do not see any ghosting in action scenes, but I am not looking at it with a keen eye and comparing it with the big brands. But it performs better than it should for the price paid.

@@prasoonsharma5205 Samsung is Samsung, it's almost guaranteed to be perfect in what it delivers. Mi is bit of a gamble. We really do not know how it will perform over the long run. I am just taking the risk because I think the reward is very well priced. It even has local dimming which hides backlight bleed really well and 120Hz @ FHD The downside in this price range for Samsung is the lower size, lack of local dimming, Tizen OS. Sony ticks all the boxes but size is still lesser. Both have 120Hz @ 4k which is a plus over the Mi. In the end it boils down to the risk you are willing to take in order to see jaws drop at the huge canvas sitting in your living room ;)

Most tvs now a days would be smart and the price difference between smart and non smart is negligible, I would suggest get a smart tv and use it with set top box. You can consider the mi tv horizon edition or samsung wondertainment series

One HDMI supports e-ARC. I have rigged up a JBL SB450 via ARC. It works as expected and provides earth shattering sound along with the big screen experience. The only issue is that the volume indicator does not display on the TV screen in this configuration. The sound responds though and u will have to play it by ear.
@@deepk82 You need to have ARC support on both ends. For the TV, ARC means it supports HDMI Out. From the home theatre side, the ARC port will support HDMI In, which seems you don't have. You seem to have only HDMI Out on your home theatre. If your home theatre supports Optical In, Analog In or Bluetooth, you can use any of these options with the TV. But you won't get the CEC control with these options and you will need to switch input manually on both the TV and home theatre depending on what you are doing.
@@aaacreations6036 Actually TV should have HDMI out then home theatre will handle. Currently I'm managing with 3.5mm wire from MI box to home theatre. Old Mi 55 inches had the same problem of not having HDMI out.

Because TV is not a source that produces any signal. TV only receives signal. I’m actually a little disappointed in the tv. Mainly the MEMC technology doing a worse job than my previous 2012 Samsung tv, and the sluggish behaviour (my biggest strife). I’m wondering what’s wrong as almost all reviews say it’s smooth to move around the ui, apart from one. But in my case, I’ve had to force restart the tv twice it completely froze, opening Netflix takes a good 30 seconds or so, and generally speaking it’s so slow it’s really starting to annoy me. Any ideas as to why, and whether there is an update on the way? Ps outside of India it’s running Android 11, why aren’t we getting that here in India?
I also have this TV : enable android developer options menu , and limit the background tasks to 3 , it will be lot smoother , also via adb remove the Xiaomi Bloatware and use another launcher like Projectivy

I also have this TV : enable android developer options menu , and limit the background tasks to 3 , it will be lot smoother , also via adb remove the Xiaomi Bloatware and use another launcher like Projectivy
