9:39 I love how Till hid the band name in the lyrics. There are only four songs in which the band name appears. This one is the fifth.
For me, it's about a toxic relationship where one takes complete control of the other's life, separating them from their old social environment.

Good interpretation. I think the line about the garden is interesting. Like the couple will present a happy facade to the world while, in reality, they are trapped in misery.

@@shaunbokhari Yes, the garden represents how the couple appears to outsiders.

One thing I love about this song is that guitar solo later in the song. It sounds like screaming, and I feel it's 100% intentional to make it sound like the person that is within the house

    8:20 - "typical rammstein love story" 😂

Kind of concerned by the people calling this song about abuse ‘romantic’ but I guess that’s just a symptom of hyper reality.
The song is metaphorical for abusing someone by ‘trapping’ the subject through making them dependent on the abusive person, building walls to cut the subject off from everything that can help them and to keep them with the abusive person (thus not only stopping them from going one way but having total control of their choices). The song isn’t strictly sexual, familial, romantic, systemic, etc in its meaning which makes it very relatable for victims of all forms of mistreatment. The song is a great piece of art and carries a very dark, imposing and hopeless atmosphere that sounds quite incredible on every listen.

A song about love so pathological that the hero of the song is ready to wall up this love of his, turn it into a house, even kill, but only if she stays with him. Tough, scary, but romantic. Reaction and comments are super as always

The German language has many ways of expressing yourself, so have problems translating it correctly into English and vice versa. Would be cool of Rammstein if they would translate their songs into engish, spanish and russian themselves. I hope my english is correctly

Another "nice" word game by Till:
...alle Nägel stehen stramm wenn ich sie in den Leibholz RAMM - STEIN !!! : 1. the name of the band 2. to ramm means to pile, hit or crash sth. or somebody...

From an interview: PLAYBOY: Particularly disturbing is that you mostly sing about these topics in the first person. Why?
Till : It’s more direct. That’s the polarizing effect: I’m the cannibal, I’m the child molester. I think it would be cowardly to write it in the third person.

I think the standard procedure to react is these kine of original songs with subtitles not some low quality live performances, keep it up dude👌👌👌

Rammstein writing a song text from the pov of a total psychopath. This is one of my less favorite it does not come across clearly enough they abstain/despise such horrible thoughts. If you know their whole art it is obvious but not from that song alone. A missed opportunity.
