Yes this is canon. It did happen before Fnaf two.
In took place sometime around one of the first many different variation wises of Fredbears family diner.
Maybe not the 1970-1972 location that closed shortly after the bite of seventy two but the place wasn't put up for lease til 1978 '79?' I don't remember. Exactly. This is a different location in the fnaf timeline. The one I was just talking about is actually the 'Real' Fredbears family diner. Not real real. Just real as in the authentic classic location that opened up first before business popularity struck like crazy.
She probably died in 1982, just like in the novel universe.

Or sometime before the bite of 72. There was more victims before that. It wasn't just Charlie or bite victim #1. Bite victim #1 wasn't even tied to afton. It was just a customer who was bitten from the malfunctioning spring foxy animatronic 1.0 ASLE. Or this case Henry's first mech technology he used to create the original spring animatronics before using "locks" as the next gen mech in 1980. However bite victim #2 is Williams son. But number one has no relation. There's a thing that might be DOZENS of security puppets instead of just one puppet. Because there's copies & copies of everything everywhere.
Also the first victims of afton happened back in Fnaf Fredbears prequel Blackbears the original location of Henry & Victor before the murders took place. The first two murders happened at Blackbears that's why there's a color variation of nightmare Fredbear because that's blackbear but renamed nightmare. And I can tell you no nightmare has no relation connection to the first victims. They're both they're own separate beings. The first victims were actually transferred from black bear & white rabbit to becoming Shadow Bonnie & Shadow Blackbear. Or Freddy. There's a lot of people.

Fnaf forever;
The Bite of 72 was an accident just like the bite of 83 & so forth. Except two things happened. 1: spring foxys spirit was the third on Williams hit list. 2: the spring foxy show was sabotaged the night prior to cause the following for the next day.
Sometime after this, Henry, Victor, & William were confronted by debt collectors. They demanded more funds but they all said f off & then that was that. They also were close to having been bought out too but luckily that was settled. It didn't turn out to be true. They did lose one of the characters 'well one of them' but it wasn't the main focus. It was the original drummer Frankburt spring jaw who had later been replaced shortly after by chica.
But the truth remains as a final verdict spring foxy was never heard from again. Neither was Frankburt but there was a spring lock mech version that was created for spring foxy but it was shortly after discontinued & scrapped to pave way for the all new all different original pirate foxy.
Redesigned & redone. But the original model however that was in the 70's location was abandoned & put away in cold storage forever. Never to be seen again.
They almost fired the janitor for doing it but it turns out the janitor got off easy & actually stayed on.
The janitors story is important but it's not worth talking about right now.
This video being shown from the eyes of Charlotte, where we see what she is seeing is absolutely horrifying because we feel like we are her, and as she collapses, we could hear Afton bone chilling laugh

For those who don't know: long ago Henry made puppet to protect Charlie and puppet and Charlie were friends and told stories about them but bullies came and putted Charlie outside and stucket puppet in her box Charlie was crying slamming the door to open it but didn't work then William Afton came to kill her and puppet came out and did the hard way she left and saw it
