omg why haven't people learning to be extremely cautious when clearing out land? They should thoroughly investigate or set up cameras to see who or what is living there before sending crew and huge machines to destroy animal homes! I'm so glad she is doing well. So tinnnyyy.🥰

I missed her introduction video. I saw her when she was already in the first room. I knew she had a ruff time it when she first came in. She is doing so much better now.

Summer's poor mom was probably scared off by the workers & only had time to grab baby Summer's siblings.
But a BIG THANK YOU to the workers who saw little Summer in the excavator bucket & took her to where she could get help!!
I know she is in great hands at Big Cat Rescue!!
Carole & her staff will care for Summer but allow her "wild cat" to come out!!
If you live in or around the Tampa, Florida area, and love all kinds of big cats, then Big Cat Rescue is the best place to see them!!
While Summer is inside a building now, if anyone can rehabilitate her to be released, it is Big Cat Rescue!!
In the event Summer is not able to go back to the wild, then she came to the correct place!! She will be cared for the rest of her life!!
BCR has natural settings with grass & trees!
The staff does NOT touch the cats unless it is for a medical reason!
Obviously Summer has had to have.human touch at this age, but if you listened to the audio, Summer has gotten sassy with her human helpers!!
Some of the cats who come there are not just like Summer. Some of these cats have been badly mistreated by humans in circuses or people who think, my kid asked for a baby tiger for his/her birthday so they get one off the internet.
Then, as the animal grows and doesn't like when the child puts outfits on them, and tears the kid up with claws &/or teeth.
Sadly the animal is either declawed & get their teeth removed by the parent.
Or the person kills the animal! It is like giving your child a ticking bomb to play with--at some point that bomb will go off!
Even worse, and I just saw this on the news recently, full grown tigers were turned loose by a former owner in Texas!!
I life in Florida and yes, we do get alligators who show up at someone's home. Unfortunately a lot of these gators have been handfed. So we do look around, especially after a tropical system goes by.
It is one thing to have a gator turn up in your yard, but imagine you get out of your car & there is a tiger walking out from behind the side of your home!!
NEVER RUN!! You cannot outrun them and they will see you as prey!!
Luckily for both the tigers as well as the humans where these tigers were seen, the authorities caught them! They were taken to a proper big cat sanctuary in Texas!!
I think that BCR actually has or had a big cat who has had their fangs removed and was totally declawed!
Now that animal must be kept in an area by itself as it couldn't defend itself against another big cat, even in play!
If you are ever planning a trip to the mid Florida region & like big cats in very natural settings, call or go on line to get a reservation to tour their facility!
I haven't been there in a while as I have problems walking some days due to MS.
But I hope to make it back there after the summer is over & we get our, "Ah, this is why I moved to Florida!!", weather!!
