As a Leeds fan, just wanted to say big respect to a great player. In the modern game, there aren't many players as loyal and honest as Mark Noble. What a player too. 567 total apps. Probably the best player of his generation to never play for England. In any other era he'd have 25 caps.

It's literally a crime that he never played for England but let's not forget for the majority of his career his was fighting greats like Lampard and Gerrard for a place in the national team.

You know what's funny? The very first West Ham game I remember seeing on TV was Trevor Brooking's farewell game in the early 80's when I was a kid. That started my "love affair" with West Ham United, which effectively became "marriage for life" after the 85-86 season... and now Brooking is here to welcome Noble into retirement. Somewhere, some kid will watch this game and become a West Ham fan, just as I did so many years ago...

Man United fan here. When you currently have a club thats full of heartless, gutless wannabes like Paul Pogba and Co it makes you appreciate players like Mark Noble even more. The guy would die on the field for his club and team mates. One of the players you'll always remember as a Premier League icon. I reckon if you pay him a tenner a week he'll still sweep the changing rooms after a game, absolute legend through and through 🙌

I watched Mark Noble make his debut against Wolves in 2005, which we lost 4-2, including a goal from a certain ex-West Ham player, called Paul Ince, I may add. I’ve always had the highest regard for him ever since. I’ve seen great players (and not so great) at West Ham since the first game I went to in 1968 (WHU 5-0 Newcastle Utd) and Mark Noble is up there with the best.
“West Ham United” runs through him like a stick of Blackpool rock. Marvellous player, marvellous person. And what a penalty taker!
P.S. I have relatives in Wolverhampton, so I always follow their results, having a soft spot for them., despite 2005!

Spurs fan here. This is what football should be. Supporters having a relationship with servants that aren't passing by for 2 or 3 years. Loyalty means more than a transfer fee and Marks moment today is priceless, will stay with everyone involved for life.

As a Homo sapien and a Man U fan, this guy is a rarity these days. May not be the most gifted player in the prem but academy raised, he bled the clubs DNA to never give in and fight for every minute you get on the pitch because it's the least you can do for a club you so adore. My old man brought me up on stories about his west ham heroes in the 70s and onwards, Club legends like Billy Bonds, Jeff Hurst and his favorite player, Trevor Brooking. without watching these players week in and week out throughout their careers its hard to grasp the emotional attachment these men had on him, and still do. Mark Noble is my Trevor brooking! and hopefully one day I will bring up children of my own on stories about Mr West Ham, he will always be my favorite player. COYI

My dad used to be the Head physio for west ham united. Noble picked up an injury when he was in the youth team and got permission to see my dad. Called him Mr. Colley and poured tea for him every morning he saw him. Truly dedicated to this club and we love him for it.

Not a West Ham fan but he stuck with West Ham from day one gave his all and loves his club. Win or lose his passion his love was always there and we can’t take that away from him. Other players from other clubs can learn from him let’s be honest ie pogba, aubamayang etc etc. play for the badge not just the money

Spanish Hammer here. When I started supporting West Ham in 2008, Mark Noble was already there. Since then, I've seen relegation, promotion, I've seen our home change, our crest.... We went to Europe a few times, knocking on the door of the final this season. And Nobes was there.
It will be very so strange to look at our lineup next season and not read "16 - Mark Noble". He won't be on the pitch, but he'll be in the stands. With us. Because he's one of us. He's our captain. And he always will be.
