Carol White has left a legacy that will still be discussed/talked about in a hundred years time. ❤. RIP Miss Carol White. Gone too soon. Her sons must be so proud of what she achieved in such a short period, and what she would have gone on to have achieved.
@@blastoff2022 Absolutely - unless you have a LOT of money to cushion yourself from the crime, London is fast becoming a hell-hole to live on. All the indigenous English moved out of the East End in the early 90’s as part of ‘white flight’. It breaks my heart to see what London and other great cities have come to - Paris is much worse. I went back there a few years’ ago - first visit since a school trip in 1989 - I actually cried at what I saw...I know what I believe to have ruined these cities, but my comment would be removed from this platform if I stated it I suspect. Very best wishes 🤗
Just like NYC- out of control real estate prices-and like London- crime - filth- and of course the absolute worst political leadership. Problem in the US - is most of our once great cities - Seattle- NYC-LA-San Francisco are also as you said, are completely crime ridden - drug laden - hell holes. Of all the places I’ve flown to, I loved London- the most- I’m sad to see what’s happened to it. Used to be such a great city! 🇬🇧🙂
A great song, a great film, a g reat and splendid Carol White, the 'Battersea Bardot' - there's a 2000s track with this title, too, by some London street-rock band).
This is mad, but after comments I made in the past about Ken Loach doing a Lord of the Rings film I find this - a song written by Donovan for a LOTR film he wanted to make, but which ended up in a Ken Loach filmI think there's something haunting about Loach's world and Tolkien's overlapping. They both had similar working class backgrounds, both witnessing class inequality at Oxford. also, Tolkien was brought up by his mum.
A voice like an angel.
terrific movie..essence of the 60s..
this is the best version of this nice song !

i wish this version was available on Spotify
Beautiful, I love this film. You see a London that is gone now.
agree-I've been flying to London for 42 years -(international flight attendant) London is completely different...lost 99% of its appeal.
@@blastoff2022 Completely, and it is getting worse.
Sadly yes- and it’s not just London- so much of the world - and its cities are pretty bad 😕

Poor Cow is a 1967 British drama film directed by Ken Loach.

A London lost, and forgotten, for better, or worse.!?!. (😢). Now consigned to history books, and pictures/photos. (😢).

I have the single but it sounds a little different than this version.
Colours sounds better in the film too.
