    I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is December 21. For years, this day has been celebrated as the Festival of St. Thomas, Apostle, even though the ELCA now recognizes it on July 3. Some churches and denominations may still celebrate on this day, though. This passage from the Book of Ephesians is usually read on this day. And here is hoping that everyone reading this has a Merry Christmas.

      @@SEBTS You're welcome. Other Scriptures that compliment this Scripture are as follows: Judges 6:36-40, Psalm 136:1-4, 23-26, & John 14:1-7, which is the meat of this day, IMO. On a personal note, on February 20, 2017, my mother entered the Church Triumphant. John 14:1-14 was read as the Gospel Lesson at the funeral. Maybe you can do a talk on these Scriptures in the future.
