    I bought this saw from Japan recycle shop 35$. This saw made in year 2002 by Hitachi Koki Co., Ltd. I hope it's condition is good, but the mechanic inside is broken. It doesn't work anymore. It is different from makita reciprocating saw that I restored last time. • Reciprocasting Saw Res...

      Yes I noticed that. Then at 18:09 you can see a clamp holding it to the workbench. Now it's not going anywhere.

    You could probably make a lot of money buying fixing and selling these tools! They practically look brand new when your done with them.

      Can find heaps of "refurbished" tools online. Problem is you don't know how far they go and some charge for their labour restoring

      New tools are probably less expensive than refurbished, this guy puts lots of time in them.

    I totally saw the buffer wheel vibrating of the table in the background and already saw it dropping to the ground in my head, but then there was the cut and the buffing wheel clamped to the table :-D

    They don’t make tools like this anymore . I’ve got the slightly later Hitachi model with the pendulum action. 30 years old and still going strong.
    Remind me of my old ELU power tools compared to the Chinese made modern Dewalt.

    I want to set up a trailer with all those tools that don’t really belong in a house, like a parts washer, an ultrasonic cleaner, a sand blaster, a paint booth type area that can also do powder coating, and a bucket electroplating setup, then I won’t feel as much envy when working on things

    Hi, good job on that sawzall. Question. What did you soak the casing in to remove the staining on the aluminum? I'm redoing an old Milwaukee, and the part under the rubber boot has moisture damage similar to yours. Thanks.
