I'm a little further than this right now. It's taken a minute to get used to the parry and dodge timing (I'm playing a rogue) but I'm really liking it so far. Glad you're always a straight shooter Cowboy and enjoying yourself. The discourse around this game has been insane.
I ended up knocking one of the mini bosses off the map in Minrathous like ten seconds into the fight and it skipped straight to a cut scene where he was laid out on the ground and I just laughed so hard. It was so fun.
If you want to hear my two cents about this, the story is solid so far. The dialogue could have been much better and you'll have the occasional cringe conversation here and there. However, the overarching narrative and tone of the game has been consistently awesome. I'm also finding the combat to be quite fun.
Never played the game til getting this one. I love it so far the play style and story are really good. After seeing the ad I knew I wanted the game. Probably will be playing this my whole day off work lol it’s a great game
Hey Cowboy. Just 2 little tips if you don't mind If the enemie got a yellow bar, heavy attacks deal more damage, if its a blue bar, then you need range attacks (like your shiel toss) to deal extra damage. Also your companions are not using their abilities on their own it seems, at least not the heal.
Am I crazy, or are there instances of characters knowing things without ever being told? Like did Rook introduce himself? Harding said her and Varric met these two, no mention of Rook. And I don't remember Solas ever saying which two elven gods had escaped. And what is up with these two knowing that the old gods were evil?

Did they change the Darkspawn to just be these ghoul looking swarmers with no armour or weapons? I hope not, and I hope they all just don't look like that. Darkspawn were varied, different types and they absolutely had the ability to arm themselves, these are basically just fast zombies or red tinted ME style husks
I could be wrong, but I from what I can tell playing as a rogue, charged attacks are for doing high stagger damage and getting the stagger bar up faster for a takedown as well as knocking enemies out of attacks which becomes extremely valuable with some of these fuckin' crazy ass AoE's and combo chains some of the bosses do 🙂
Combat can be very tactical if you want it to be. It’s less point and click tactical and more tactical action now though. Also companions have a fair bit of freedom with skills and gear you just can’t swap to them and used them as player characters. It’s basically the same with a few changes.
This game is overhated. Visuals look great. My big complaint is the enemy designs. I think they should have just given more detail to the original enemies. The Darkspawn just look like they’re f*- boy versions of themselves.
They aren't really anymore. Orlais was experiencing an elven upliftment because of Briala right from the end of Inquisition. And it's been 10 years since Solas returned and called all the elves to rise up.
Where is the inquisitor? Why would varric be with some rando? If you smashed Bianca why is varric still alive? Why would Solas be messing with the veil if there was his mortal enemies in there? Why wouldn’t solas say to varric or inquisitor I need to do this to keep these gods trapped forever? Trash writing, I could see if it got sold and was new company but it’s not.
The Inquisitor is just a Dude after he lost the mark, and depending on which ending you chose is either "So wrapped up in Chantry bureaucracy they cant do anything." or "Just a dude with literally no support or allies behind them so their options are limited" And again, are probably nursing the loss of a limb. Varric has contacts all over, kinda his whole deal as a spymaster. Bianca got Smashed by Solas, who then accidentally stabbed Varric when Rook interrupted his ritual. He was planning on bringing down the Veil while transferring the other gods elsewhere. Solas has been a very solitary individual since Inquisition, and also very Arrogant. Why should he have to explain himself to Mortals? Did you even watch the first two episodes or were you too busy stroking your hate boner to pay attention?

That drop kick is dope 😂💪🏼
That drop kick man 😂😂😂🔥
My guess something in ur skill tree is giving bouns damage to light attacks, that don't apply to charged attacks
Bro dont forget to use your companions healing skills if you run out of potions. They can save your ass in a pinch
Sometimes you get kindling or heartwood by breaking boxes. Or even a couple of gold pieces once in awhile. At least so far.

Also your companions are not using their abilities on their own it seems, at least not the heal.
For the heal you can spec into it, it's a node in their heal talent tree. They will then use it (if up) and you are low on health.
the bulk of experience you gain will be from progressing the main plot, anything else is gunna be less than that by comparison from what i have heard
You should've gotten an achievement for yeeting that boss off the cliff. Something like the "This Is Arlathan!" achievement.

The Inquisition came to know about the evils of the elven gods during the events of the last few main quests and Trespasser.

Dragon Age: Disney World.
I honestly just can't get over the tone of the game.
Wayyyy to childish BG3 for the win
Holy shit I love that analogy! Spot on

You would expect more voice actors
It honestly feels like less...
Already a few repeated voice actors and we still have many characters to go

13:14 maybe it sacrifices damage to do more armor damage when you charge it up completely 🤔

Maybe the over charge is bugged? Def seems backwards.
The overcharge adds a stun or armor breaking chance but does less damage
@@bigsteve8921 so my guess what's right. 😁👍 Thanks for the info.
I think it does less but knocks the enemy back further
I think the full charge will interrupt an enemy’s attack/ability.
That's definitely one way to End a Fight Yeeeet 😅
Maybe the game is using "Sweet spot" mechanic rather than the usual "Longer the better" one... Or maybe it's a bug?🤔
Na the overcharge does more damage to shields but less damage to normal health

There's a reason for the design change of the Darkspawn. Not saying you can't dislike it but they've explained why they look so different.
