Actually Tibetans have greater chance of protecting their true culture in exile, which is a travesty. PLA controlled Tibet is not Tibet. They will be assimilated into Han and will only be allowed to keep traditions that suit the government of the day. My Tibetan friend mTenzin Choegyal from Mustang region lives in exile in Australia and he is an amazing musician performing traditional Tibetan music. He misses his heartland. His real heartland.
Also, i am sure the daughter is a strong woman who will marry if she chooses, according to her own wants and needs.
