Might just need to run lots of rounds through it to break it in. My Norinco YJ12-2 had similar issues until I ran about 250 rounds through it. Now it runs flawlessly and will cycle everything except for mini shells. It's quickly becoming my go to when I go out in the bush.

So I actually just left the mags fully loaded for 72 hours and then loaded and unloaded them repeatedly while watching TV and my cycling (feeding and extraction issues) disappeared. So stiff mag springs was the issue. But the failure to eject low brass rounds (which is odd for a pump, as it has nothing to do with their low power) persists.

They do have a Break in period of at least 250 rounds of high velocity ammo some take more to get them right I have no problems with mine at all with the rail or any action but I did tear mine down and mate the surfaces and polish it all over works flawlessly did you at least take it apart and clean it up of all the packing grease that will help alot to

I did. And after breaking in the mags some, it did help. But other shotguns did not have cycling issues right out the box so why keep this one.

Some of the most high end shotguns aren't good out of the box Benelli and browning both have the same problem not all of them but some do that's a good enough reason to right it off in my opinion also ria put there name on it that is a American known name for awhile now they wouldn't do it for no reason if u know what I mean but the Choice is yours this is just my honest opinion some metals work better after mating for awhile engines as well as guns if u work through it might end up being one of the best I've heard alot of that about Browning as well just food for thought if u get my drift good luck and God bless

My last question is do you have problems with low brass bird shot through buck shot, or do you only use high brass ?
Thanks again and have a great day

@@Soli_Deo_Gloria_. low brass is little rougher but deffinately do able. I like the gun but undecided at the moment to keep it or go back to tube fed. It does pattern extremely well.

I think the VRPA40 is made in the Philippines, nevertheless it’s still RIA quality insurance issue. They need to add one or more QA inspectors, I’m sure the factory makes to whatever specifications RIA has in their QC Bible. 👍👍

    I’m new to firearms.
I got mine from a private seller. It was working the first day.
The second day I found the pump would get stuck. It wouldn’t eject the previous shell completely and the next shell was about half way out of the mag.
When I remove the mag, both shells fall out.
The third time I took it out, one out of every five shells would jam it. Even when I’d remove the mag, the shell was stuck in the mag.
It gets caught on the brass lip of the shell below it.
I’ve been firing white box 8 shot Winchester shells and Super X 00buckshot.
It’s like the gun doesn’t even try to eject the shell anymore.
I saw a video of one guy filing down a small part of the mag. I believe he mentions something about the aftermarket mags not having this issue, but I have yet to buy an AM mag.

Yea, I always try different mags if I have feeding or ejection issues, as that is the issue 90% of the time. But, could be that the gun doesn't like the ammo you are using, though sounds like you used two different types of ammo, so probably not that. Also, could be you have wear and tear on a particular party (e.g., an ejectory).
