Maulaya Sholli Arabic Lyrics and Meaning
مَوْلَايَ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمًا أَبَدًا
عَلىٰ حـَبِيْبِكَ خـَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ كًلِّهِمِ
O my Lord, always bestow ta'dhim grace and safety on Your lover who is the best among all creatures.
يَا رَبِّ بالْمُصْطَفٰى بَلِّغْ مَقَاصِدَنَا
وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا مَامَضَى يَا وَاسِعَ الْكَرَمِ
O my Lord, with the blessings of the chosen Prophet, convey all our wishes and forgive our sins, O God, the Most Vast of His Mercy.
هـُوَ الْحَبِيْبُ الَّذِىْ تُرْجَى شَفَاعَتُهُ
لِكُلِّ هـَوْلٍ مِنَ اْلأَهـْوَالِ مُقْتَحِمِ
He is the lover whose intercession is expected to face every terrible event that befalls mankind.
مُحَمَّدٌ سَيِّدُ الْكَوْنَيْنِ وَالثَّقَلَيْنِ
وَاْلفَرِيْقَيْنِ مِنْ عُرْبٍ وَمِنْ عَجَم
Muhammad is the natural leader of the world and the hereafter, humans and jinn as well as two groups, the Arabs and the 'Ajam (non-Arab) nation.
دَعَا إِليَ اللهِ فَالْمُسْتَمْسِكُونَ بِهِ
مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ بِحَبْلٍ غَيْرِ مُنْفَصِمِ
He invites to the pleasure of Allah SWT. So whoever clings to it means he is holding on to a rope that will never break
فَاقَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ فِى خـَلْقٍ وَفِى خـُلُقٍ
وَلَمْ يُدَانُوْهُ فِى عِلْمٍ وَلَا كَرَمٍ
He surpassed the Prophets in appearance and morals and they could not come close to him in knowledge or generosity
وَكُلُّهُمْ مِنْ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ مُلْتَمِسٌ
غُرْفًا مِنَ اْلبَحْرِ أَوْرَشْفًا مِنَ الدِّ يَمِ
They all get from the Prophet like taking a handful of water from the ocean or a sip of rainwater
يَااَرْحَمَ الرَّحِمِيْنَ - يَااَرْحَمَ الرَّحِمِيْنَ
يَااَرْحَمَ الرَّحِمِيْنَ - فَرِّجْ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِيْنْ
O Most Merciful of all the merciful - O Most Merciful of all the merciful
O Most Merciful of all the merciful - give help to the Muslims
يَا رَبَّنَا يَاكَرِيْم - يَارَبَّنَا يَارَحِيْم
اَنْتَ الْجَوَادُ الْحَلِيْم - وَاَنْتَ نِعْمَ الْمُعِيْن
O Most Gracious God - O Most Merciful God
You are the Most Gracious and the Most Gentle - and You are the Most Pleasurable and Most Helpful
وَمَالَنَارَبَّنَا - سِوَاكَ يَاحَسْبَنَا
يَاذَاالْعُلَاوَالْغِنَى - وَيَا قَوِيُّ يَامَتِيْنْ
And there is none with us, O our Lord, except You, O the Most Able to suffice us
O the Most High, O the Most Rich - the Most Powerful, O the Most Powerful of His power
وَلَيْسَ نَرْجُوْسِوَاكْ - فَادْرِكْ اِلَهِيْ دَرَاكْ
قَبْلَ الْفَنَا وَالْهَلَاكْ - يَعُمُّ دُنْيَاوَدِيْنْ
And we have no hope of other than You - so come O our Lord, namely Your help and concern
Before the destruction and complete destruction on the surface of the earth and our religion
ثُمَّ الصَّلاَةْ وَالسَّلاَمْ - عَلَى شَفِيْعِ الْاَنَامْ
وَالْاَلِ نِعْمَ الْكِرَامْ - وَالصَّحْبِ وَالتَّابِعِينْ
And bestow sholawat and salam - on the carrier of Intercession for humans
and for his family as noble as noble people - and the companions and tabi'in
