I like Lee-Enfields and own four myself. With that said, it is worth noting that I have had a few problems with them. While it is not a particular problem reserved for Lee-Enfields, do not be surprised if you need to be replace the magazine springs as many of them are weak and/or worn out. It is also worth nothing that I recently had to replace the bolt head of the bolt of one of my Savage Lee-Enfields. Before replacing the bolt head, the extractor claw would pull out the spent cartridge, but would not eject it from the rifle. Again, any of these problems could arise with any rifle. The point is that many of these old rifles may need replacement parts.
This the way you find out. Test the damn thing. Obviously there are a lot of variables involved. Good job going through the actual effort to show this. Seems like a lot of fuss over a pretty minor point, though.

The Lee-Enfield is the "Best" GunGeek. ... Reliable (when needed), durable and very accurate for an old military rifle. The cartridge can kill the Bears in the Far North with one accurate shot. ... 1:20 you're mellowing! 😅
something like that x)
Looking forward to the "1hr Racking the Lee-Enfiled bolt ASMR" video :)
Woukd a full mag influence the extraction at all?
hahaha, not really sure but it might makes the video 40 minutes long trying to add any more variables :)
well it did turn into more than an hour all told x) lol

Some folks just like to figure out why stuff is the way it is. I do the same type of thing all the time.
Thanks guys :)
Those extractors aren't particular, I had an Enfield rebarreled in .219 Zipper, it extracts those 30-30 cases just fine.
thats true :)
The things you have to do for science.
hahaha yes
