Good one. For the 2018 tour Yui was still officially a member and everything suggests they were holding her place in the hope and expectation she would recover and return, so for that tour Su and Moa were supported by the two dancers you saw off to either side - affectionately known as Muscle Metal by the fans. Yui announced she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band in October 2018. On the album version of this song (not this one as the album version was recorded later) the growl/screamo vocals were provided by Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy as guest vocalist.
Yoh! It's been a long time, thanks for coming back. Like someone told you this was in 2018 when YuiMetal about to leave the band for good, sadly. Distortion was supposed to be a live premiere song with YuiMetal dancing at Legend S 2017 SuMetal 20th birthday, but that never happened. The album version got Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy collaboration. There's also and official MV but none of the girls featured there. This drastic costume changes was during Dark Side era, and they're look so badass, love it. After this tour, dancers were replaced by a new set of dancers rotation system called "avengers", there are 3 of them, they fill the 3rd spot YuiMetal left but none of them have a mic or sing, they just dance. Besides beautiful SuMetal's ears, she is a highly trained professional dancer so no wonder she got her arm like that, women in general are more elastics than men, so double jointed isn't rare. Thanks and hope to see you soon with more BM songs. Kitsune up!🦊🤘
⚡ 💕 / ☀ Can't stop the power (Give up, give up) Is this the bad dream? (Give up, give up) Can't stop the power (Give up, give up) To distortion! The drums and guitars are more forward live than in the studio track, and the synth is lower in the mix. That makes it better IMO. And of course the live Kami Band turn it all up to eleven. Starting with the 2019 tour, they've been using the visuals from the 'Distortion' music video on the background screen behind them in concert. It looks really cool. She's not on the original version, but Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy is a guest artist on the Metal Galaxy (2019) album version of this track.
That they say it's "ok" simply makes me understand that I don't know what the hell runs in their veins. I had to say it or it gives me something.. 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
