Gavin has a great voice, but this is not a song from We Will Rock You or by Scott Alan, it's still a musical theatre song. Too riffed and not acted at all. Also, he has a strong tendency to close up every vowel whenever there-s a long sustained note. A bit irritating.
IF he were to sing it just like this while playing the role I might agree with you, but this is Essentially a cabaret performance, and was to cap off the years of Seth doing the Live On Broadway show in the Times Square Information Center. So this was Gavin being Gavin and not Gavin being Pippin and that is fine
