In the version I’m doing of this, I’m a sailor, and before this song, the actor who plays Eric throws a gauntlet to me and I actually caught it! I don’t have very good hand-to-eye coordination, so hopefully I can catch it onstage
I'm the one girl sailor and I'm the first mate. They have me going around terrorizing the sailors and yelling at them to get back to work. I also have a magical tonic that cures seasickness so Grimsby would probably be dead without me.
I'm gonna be Trion in this in the upcoming spring, but they also needed me to be the pilot because I had the best voice for it. Turns out to be really cool because how at 1:26 the pilot is warning the other sailors all about King Triton, kinda like some weird foreshadowing or metaphor.
Was Pilot for my school’s production of the song and I gotta say I loved doing this song, even surprised everyone I knew with my solo section because no one really knew I could sing well, kinda surprised me as well. Easily the best thing I did this year.
i’m in the pit playing flute and piccolo for this musical at my high school and it’s an experience like no other and i wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world
Just come off an amateur run as Sound No. 1 (/2/3/DSM, the company didn't have a huge budget for technicians), this song is very much embedded in my brain now

The cast list just got released and I'm a sailor, I'm interested to see how this scene goes

We're doing Little Mermaid for my school musical this coming year and I have no idea how they're gonna cast the male characters. My sister wants me to be Usala >w

I'm thinking to myself, Grimsby sounds like Jafar then I look up the original broadway cast, yep, that's him
Yes. ;)
I never noticed that woah

I know this is 4 years ago, but I’m sure you were great! That is cool foreshadowing yeah! 😁
Another thing that could’ve been added is when Eric says “not while I’m captian” you said “hey I’m in charge of this ship!” As another double meaning
