So I could be very relaxing but also in your case profitable. A lot of people think oh I could do that but they don’t so for those of you who want to make negative comments please keep it to yourself. I am sold for many years and made a lot of clothing from easy to very difficult and I’ve even had a business for a while and either way, it’s better if you can find things that are less time consuming and relaxing than to just make your life complicated. Hi hope to be of help if you key in UA-cam serger, overlocker threading there are many tutorial s covering this subject as I've two totally different sergers and I found the Bernina 800dl the best and both my Bernina 800dl and my singer serger are again threaded up and running perfect one has lighter threads and one has darker threads hope this helps it certainly help me and in case you're wondering why I have two sergers I won one in a sewing magazine the other I brought I also have two sewing machines for the same reason I tend to use the sergers more than the machines as sewing is my hobby for both myself and making for others
Hello. I am new to your channel and just starting to explore. I like the simplicity of your videos and how clearly you demonstrate techniques. I've made a couple comments in another thread. I'm wondering how you say you make hundreds of these items to make money - not because you wouldn't be able to make that many a day when the process is extremely streamlined - but because I'm confused about who you are selling these simple pieces of clothing to. Do you have a contract with a large retailer? That's the only way I can imagine it being profitable. You have very strong competition from China, etc. The only reason I'm asking intrusive questions is because you say you make money. It seems like you're saying we could, too, of we learn how to do this, but there just isn't an opening in the market that I can see Thanks!
Maybe this person live in on other country where selling things in the street or in the market is easily doable? I don't know... But I highly doubt she can make that many a day. Even when streamlined, she probably can't do more than 6-7 per hour. If she's seeing non stop wihout breaks, for 8 hours straight, she's not gonna do more than 60 a day. Which would be a lot in itself already. But not hundreds! That's just impossible. So having contracts with retailers would not be profitable for the retailers... Esp. big retailers like Zara, h&m, or even Walmart need more like thousands of the same piece.

But you would need style variety. Small boutiques and fairs in the US wouldn't be an option because the complexity and quality of materials isn't worth a handicraft pricetag. As for numbers - definitely hyperbole, and the need for that amount is impractical for both street vending and retail, as you said. Far too much or too little. I've worked handling bulk jobs, and sure, you can get your productivity to an amazing level, but not with what she is showing us. You would need an assembly line operation, doing the same task as many times in a row as possible so time isn't wasted switching back and forth. However, that thin, stretchy fabric is difficult to cut in stacks, so no electric scissors. The fold over elastic is a pain in the ass - especially with fabrics that curl. Multiple patterns of fabric would need to be sourced, and that would cost too much because you can't get it in big enough quantities. Obviously, the money to be made is in subscriber engagement with the videos. There's no way anyone could make money like this, with this product. It is just a simple video showing some good sewing tips. At least the claims aren't dangerous like a lot of those from 5-minute Crafts... 😂 But 100 turns out to be a weird flex since that quantity ruins any scenario. If it was to be believable on any level, the title would be "here's how I make 20 of these highly sought-after items a day with quality fabric, embellishments, and small business branding to sell in boutiques where people with a lot of money and some conscience go to spend it on handmade things that aren't made in a sweatshop" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Sorry for the ramble, but I'm sleepy and this kind of puzzle is my jam. 😆

I was a production sewing machinist at one time a hundred a day definitely not impossible, when pre cut( as an out worker) or not taking time to show what you are doing Choosing stretchy material was a great choice as most are afraid of using it.. Using up an off cut , very frugal.. enjoyed learning a different technique. Thank you .

They probably are precut so this speeds up the sewing time. These pieces not for me unless I tweak it maybe into a swimsuit top. They look tight or snug fitting. A more better choice for mt older, flabby arms might be for an undergarment like a brassiere.

Hi, I use regular thread and pull the elastic slightly when sewing, you can use stretchy thread for sewing machine for better quality 😊

You cant use a normal sewing stitch on stretch fabric, the stitching will break very quickly. Use the 3 step zig zag to sew on the elastic .

Hi Mia, do you use jersey needle for sewing this type of stretchy fabric?
I sew clothes for sphynx cats and often use a jersey knit fabric. A proper needle for stretchy fabrics makes a huge difference!
