I seen you parked at the Petro Saturday morning when I was leaving there. I actually got a picture of your truck and trailer sitting there. I’m not one to come up and knock on your door if I don’t see you outside of your truck. I’ll get the opportunity to someday run into you. Stay safe out there Dan.
Dan, not a thing wrong with putting wood down on front and back of your tarps on loads like that. I do it too and it always works out much better that way.
I was concerned when I saw your thumbnail, with the hood over and mentioning the oil cap, thought I had better check on you. Glad it was just A minor PM thing. Enjoy watching your vides.
Dan, I had a little tarp for things like that. Sure was handy. 12' long with 4' drops and a flap. Was good for a coil as well. Think we paid $120 for it at Tri City Canvas.
Hy Dan , I don't know if you read the comments. So I've got a big question (or request): Could you make a video when you're tarping with a strong wind (if it's possible) because I'm watching (a bit) your video for learning what must do a truck driver for to be good ... (I'm from France, near to come to drive a truck in North America with flatbed.) Thanks a lot. Go on to make great videos. (Sorry for my English, it will be better when I will swim in the language bath)
Was in Oklahoma this past Saturday 3/20....Not far from Tulsa, stopped over in Woodward Ok. Nice area on Hwy 412/270. They do have a couple nice truck stops. Stopped by Domino Truck stop, great staff, clean and good food. Stay safe and thanks for another great ride along...
Hi!, Dan. Bobby and I are watching from Ocala, FL. Bobby remembers tarping like that also. A good way to do it. Hope you have a good trip. Stay safe and well.
Good morning. On Monday I got excited . They had one lane closed here on Hwy 84 near Coffeeville, Alabama. Traffic was stopped and saw a shiny Peterbilt like your other truck. Thought it was you until I remembered you changed trucks
Thanks Dan, love traveling with you, would love a little more road, don't get tired of it rather miss it a lot, got retired from the road due to an injury to my gas foot, couldn't pass a DOT physical, so got my wings clipped, even after a million miles still miss the road. Be safe and keep the rubber side down. Peace.
Sir Dan !!! On the ""OL"" Filler cap ,,,you can back off the nut on the bottom of it & add washers as they will expand the rubbers to tighten it up again for the filler tube !!!!
When I worked at Cat. before I retired from there..every rebuilt engine got a new oil fill cap, no exceptions. Why. Becuase we had another cat dealer rebuild a motor and the orginal oil fill cap leaked oil going down the road, oil got so low it ate the crank cap bearings. I still remeber that from 20 yrs ago
Stay safe, when you're tired it's time to stop for the night if you can find a spot. And that trash is nothing compared to california. Southern calf. Is the trash capital of the nation. Like your videos, real life. Again stay safe.
Nice video again Dan ,we don’t see a lot of roping and sheeting (tarping) in the Uk now ,mainly taughtliner trailers , but we do have the same litter problem unfortunately
Found both places you went to, but just couldn't figure out what rest area you started at. Couldn't seem to find a big rest area around Hubbard. Otherwise I can usually track where you are by what's visible. Used to drive OTR, miss it, just being a little vicarious!
I work in Hubbard Ohio. There's a Truck World, Flying J and Love's. Wondering what rest are you would have been at? There's a weight station just west of Hubbard on I80 and an old/closed rest area to the east.
Thanks Dan, It is just the laziness that has ingrained our society and folks demanding instant gratification. The other is what is being taught to each generation. I asked a neighbor to clean things up that was a single father raising 3 kids getting close to to being teenagers, this is what your kids home/places of living is going to look like when they are own their own and is that what you want to leave them with in respecting their community living space. It lasted about 2 weeks. I do not know what the answer is to respecting community properties.
you'd think the city would help clean those areas up. don't they have a motto "Keep our city clean"? or something like that. i saw something like that on the streets in NYC. could of been a dumpster was open but it was windy too.
Looks like you may have one light out on the right hand side of the trailer by the front wheels. What determines your decision to back in or nose into a spot?
Not a curtain side. He'd have no real use for a curtain but what he should get is a Roll-Tite (Conestoga). The only problem is it limits what he can haul, both height and width.
For me is Quieter and also you don't have to worry about someone tearing the front of your truck off. I have pulled into spots before instead of backing in
Hi Dan. Great video as usual 👍🏻 My very first driving job was rope and sheets carrying steel tube. So watching you Dad give me many happy memories especially when your struggling in the wind lol 😆 We have the very same problem in the U.K. with drivers just throwing their trash especially the foreign ones that come visit the U.K. 😫 A big issue is piss bottles just thrown out anywhere!! It’s disgusting 🤮 They even destroy the washing facilities 😡 I’m very lucky now as I move a mobile MRI scanner for the veterinary hospitals so my parking is on private property with good facilities and very safe parking 😆 Stay safe buddy cheers Stevie 😎🏴

Good job Dan, had to order a second shirt, nephew wanted one.

"Missed it by that much." Don Adams aka Maxwell Smart said that line often on his comedy show Get Smart in the 60's.
👍🙂✔
We got the Red, Blue and White, as a result! Looks pretty good! 🇺🇸
Dorsey picked the right guy to sponser. Dan keeps that trailer moving and making money.
👍🏿
Like your videos showing the inst. tarps etc. Shows how much work you go thru besides driving..
love the lights at night
Tarp job, truck and trailer look great. I admire your handy work. Safe travels Dan.
Dan you really do sound like you need a Break. Your usual enthusiasm seems to be waning. Stay safe.
Dan, not a thing wrong with putting wood down on front and back of your tarps on loads like that. I do it too and it always works out much better that way.
Funny how you remember places from years before, I can remember being the same.
Once you've been there, it's logged in.
That music! Love your videos. You are an incredible representative of your industry.
Got my new SuperTruckerDan hat. I love it and the fact that its a flexfit and not a snapback. Huge fan of your amazing content.
Stay safe on the road Dan.
This is one Good Looking and Solid “Dorsey” Trailer. Buy the Best First, and you Won’t regret it. 👍
Nice job Dan!!
That was interesting to see that much of the tarping process. Nice!
Your rig is looking good , stay safe Dan.
Safe travels to you Trucker Dan! From Boone Iowa....Pam

Trailer looks great you look rested and happy safe travels
Truck looks good! Safe travels!
Small renovation but a lot of viewing experience👉🔔👍
Watching This Vid In My New Super TruckerDan T-Shirt .Stay Safe
Looking good Dan you make it look easy
I did same thing with coils sometimes
You can tighten the oil cap by unscrewing the T handle and adding a washer or two between the base and the rubber.
As always an interesting and professional video
Safe travels Dan 🌵🇬🇧👍

Dan that truck and trailer look outstanding and the tarp job looks like it's been molded on that load excellent job
Travel safe, Dan.

Tarring looks tiring. Stay safe. Enjoy your videos and your hard work and professionalism.
Nothing changes worked at the 76 in Alb. in the 70s guys would just dump their trash on the ground rather than walk 20 feet to the trash can
at Canton, if you had gone over the hill, I used to live on the other side on the left.
Hate tarping.🤣 still love my side kit.... nice work.

Great job on tarping
Truck and trailer looking good, All "Chickened" up. Have a safe trip, God bless....
I thought that was you in Wadsworth, truck and trailer looked good when I saw you
Great stuff, Dan. Wadsworth, Ohio, is the original home of Fred Perkins, founder of Whitefeather Meats, and father of the Bearded Butcher brothers.
Nice one Dan.
Everything looking good after the wash.
It's a real shame to be looking out at all that rubbish dumped there.
Thanks Dan, love traveling with you, would love a little more road, don't get tired of it rather miss it a lot, got retired from the road due to an injury to my gas foot, couldn't pass a DOT physical, so got my wings clipped, even after a million miles still miss the road. The wood on the front and rear of the tarp works very well. I have used that technique myself several times.
I passed a Mercer truck yesterday in Suffolk, VA!
God, those blue air compressors were so easy to get to and work on.
What Oil did they use Dan? I would keep all that paperwork to make sure there's no problems with that CAT warranty! 👍
Dan thanks for another great video; stay safe.
Stay safe, when you're tired it's time to stop for the night if you can find a spot. And that trash is nothing compared to california. Southern calf. Is the trash capital of the nation. Like your videos, real life. Again stay safe.
Pat, Illonois IS the trash capital of the world
Greetings from Massachusetts I enjoyed the video 👍👍👍
Nice video again Dan ,we don’t see a lot of roping and sheeting (tarping) in the Uk now ,mainly taughtliner trailers , but we do have the same litter problem unfortunately
Both the truck and tarp job looking good Dan stay safe "RB"
Sweet Cab And Flatbed Combo. Love The Polished Aluminum And Lights On The Flatbed (Year 2020 Or Newer?) :-)
Alway nice and clean.
Sir Dan !!! Thanks & YES

Tulsa Oklahoma , just drive by Peterbilt Steve and show your 379 his younger siblings parked on Steve's lot , or maybe even order one ;)
In about 5 years, gotta break in the rebuild yet!
Good music choice
Weren’t you in Dodge City, Alabama when the tornadoes came through last week? Any stories to tell?
Me, too. Been worrying about your safety since last video. So glad to see your face today. Stories?????
Hi from NZ
thanks for a great video.
Ha, my N14 uses the same oil cap!
Thanks Dan,

You may be a famous UA-camr but I have a city named after me, Hubbard Ohio!🤣🤣🤣
Keep the rubber on the road and safe travels.
You were close to where I live. I live in Eaton Ohio. New Paris Ohio is about twenty minutes from Eaton.
you'd think the city would help clean those areas up. don't they have a motto "Keep our city clean"? or something like that. i saw something like that on the streets in NYC. could of been a dumpster was open but it was windy too.
How many trash cans are nearby? Littering is bad, but if there's places for people to put the trash, they usually do so.
That why we can have nice things 🤦🏼♂️
Dan, would it benefit you if you had a visible paint stripe down the middle of your big tarps every 5-6 feet?
Looks like you may have one light out on the right hand side of the trailer by the front wheels. What determines your decision to back in or nose into a spot?
Do you think you will ever go back to doing long haul loads?
What do you think he does now? Lives in Arizona and drives over the road as a Flatbed Owner Operator covering 40 plus states???
Yea it’s disgusting the amount of trash at truck stops I doesn’t take long even for new ones to start
Look Dan bought new chrome. Lol oil cap! Just messing with you. Love the videos
Dan, I would love to have one of those Dorsey stocking caps. Can you send one to me here in the Czech Republic?
So, some international parts are interchangeable?
Like watching u tarp thanks
Ya know, if you had the rocker hair, you wouldn't need the hat so often ;)
Can you explain your thought process of keeping the PB with the paccar rather than selling it? Thanks.
He doesn't have a KW. He has another Peterbilt but it's a 386 I believe and the one he's driving is a 379.
@@a1driver982- Thanks, I knew that, but guess I’m just getting old.
I wanna be an owner operator but can’t chose between reefer or flatbed, what’s everyone’s opinion on what to do?
Yes sir you looked like that tarp did you in there Big “D”...,
TRUE
How is that apu
Why an oil change too soon .
Every how many miles it gets done ??????
Like your videos
End of that video, you looked WORNED OUT 😢
Wonder why you didnt order side curtain trailer, load up strap down close the curtains, far easier than tarping up and un tarping everytime
Not a curtain side. He'd have no real use for a curtain but what he should get is a Roll-Tite (Conestoga). The only problem is it limits what he can haul, both height and width.
@@a1driver982 he rarely hauls anything higher or wider than a 40ft HC
Dan has a video explaining why he stayed with a flatbed rather than a Conestoga
People are pigs.I can’t imagine how their homes look.Stay safe.
Why do you pull into the parking place instead of backing in?
For me is Quieter and also you don't have to worry about someone tearing the front of your truck off. I have pulled into spots before instead of backing in

Those oil caps are terrible, you can unscrew them totally and put a spacer at the top and retighten but you’re just delaying the inevitable 👍
Are those yellow lights on the tail end of your trailer strobes or turn signals?
Strobe.
Those are warning lights for over sized loads
@@kenhofer8063 As I mentioned before, mind ya business. I'm helping out another driver with a question.
@@freedomfan4272 Thats what strobe lights are for.
Time for a hair cut...................LOL You know it is.
👍😎👍
Holly mother of Christ- Look at all that trash!!! I would not even park there. Rats could climb into the engine compartment and do some damage!!
👍😉
