I use to decorate and tidy my moms place when I lived there. haha She is a teacher and was always tired after work, so she really appreciated the tidying.. If you get some time, do it for your mom too and she will be soooooo appreciative. =) hehe

ALWAYS put hydrangeas in HOT water, and cut ALL flowers with a knife at a 45 degree angle - they drink more water that way. My best friend's boyfriend is a professional florist!!

My grandmother added a new addition to her house and that included a bathroom, she needed a place to put her candles and towels so she put a bunch of different kinds of candles in a cupboard and then put the towels in the cupboard and now whenever we use the towels they have this really really nice smell. The smell is relaxing but it's not a sent that you can just pinpoint to any certain thing... just thought of that when you started talking about scented towels
The wine rack idea is really good idea. But I have a funny story to tell you about it. Many years ago 30 years to be exact, I was a teenager and working, I bought my mom a Christmas gift. I bought her a wine rack. I thought it was for towels and I bought it for that reason. Now I see someone thinking just like me.

I LOVE the look of your bathroom. It's simple and elegant. However, I'm kind of a germaphobe and I feel like having my makeup brushes and cotton swabs exposed would just allow all of the floating "particles" in the air after flushing to just land right on them. That totally freaks me out! I would have to keep my brushes in a closed container and put decorative lids on the jar. This would be gorgeous for a bedroom vanity.
