Like a lot of people, I often wonder what Maru is thinking. That is especially true for this game. For the owner and his fans, play time. For Maru? He must understand it's not food. He must know the owner is controlling the movement. Yet Maru still loves to chase the toy, and doesn't seem that upset that he never caught it. As always, Maru gave me an excuse to smile and laugh. Maru is so precious, every video is a little gift.

Not to sound too know-it-all, but cats know toys from real objects, and will seek inanimate things out to practise hunting, even in adulthood. That goes to show cats' high intelligence, because it is a sign of outstanding evolutionary development in a species if they play their entire life.
Those big glistening eyes...😻😻😽. The kitchen- paper toy changes Maru's expression completely. He does indeed look like what he looked in Mugu San's videos from over 12 years before! I love how he hides behind the box - sneaks up a little - hides behind the blue tub - sneaks up a little more - finally pounces! And misses it again. Maru never gives up. The fun is in trying!
