Gen Z was the first generation to to do the absurdity/surrealism memes that made no sense whatsoever, for example the “watermelon is calling”. Like Millennials, Gen Zeta (NOT GEN Z!) will witness new technology appear and grow in a balance between tech and reality. Generation Theta will be certainly like early Gen Z in that they don't constantly use the new technology that will shape them. Generation Iota would be the subject of ridicule as they would be like mid to late Gen Z and Gen Alpha in terms of using the new technology for everything without limits as they struggle to preoccupy with a future Crisis that they will experience.

As a member of Gen Z, I feel heavily insulted by what Gen Alpha has done to the meme community, and perhaps the internet as a whole. It concerns me that this onslaught of irregular behavior leaves me worried for what's to come in the near future. The community, or the world for that matter, will soon fall if something doesn't change soon. If Gen Alpha is the call before the storm, then I feel as if all other generations need to form and unite as one for the next generation, because I think it only gets worse from here on, and we're currently witnessing nostalgia itself crumble and fade into non-existance.

I'm gonna pick between each of these to see which memes get better points, Gen Z or Gen Alpha. I'm going to do this while trying to be as unbiased as possible. Although, Gen Alpha is going to be at a disadvantage since they pretty much just started. (And btw, I'm part of early Gen Alpha [or as some people call it, Zalpha] so I won't have Gen Z's bias for thinking they're sooo much better than Gen Alpha while doing this.)
FIRST MEME: Out of these 2, Rage Comics are definitely better. Baby Shark was overrated. 1:0
VIRTUALITY AND SPREAD: Obviously faster spread is a better thing than slower spread. It causes faster evolution. 1:1
MOST POPULAR MEME: This one is tricky. 4chan is brainrot, but Skibidi Toilet is brainrot too. I'll go with Pepe since they get pretty nice and funny usage from time to time. 2:1
HUMOR STYLE: Now, I've liked absurdism for as long as I can remember. But, I must admit, relatability is most certainly superior. Not looking good for Alpha. 3:1

FAMOUS MEME STAR: I'm giving this one to Gen Alpha, but not because of Kai Cenat. Kai Cenat is a goofball. I'm giving it to Gen Alpha because of CaseOh. 1. Because he is truly the BIGGEST streamer. 2. Because he might squish me if I don't give him the point. 3. Pewdiepie isn't really an "internet man" anymore, he's really just off living his life now. He's stopped uploading and appears in memes less and less. He's served his time, but his time isn't now. I'm ranking these based on the now. Still tho, not disrespecting his services. 4. CONS OF MEMES: I'm gonna give the point of superiority to Gen Alpha on this one because despite it's brainrot nature (which, by the way, brainrot has always been a thing, it's just that zoomers are only paying attention to it now because they're old enough to know what brainrot is but still have their rose-tinted glasses on), bullying is still very wrong. 6:4
LONGEVITY: Now, many people expect me to go for Gen Z here for them having longer longevity, but I don't think that's actually better. You see, memes dying is a very natural thing and it's good that only very rarely does something last to this day like Rickroll and Trollface. The reason for this is that if a meme you don't like starts growing, then it's okay because soon it will be replaced by another meme that you may like. And then you'll get something else after that for others that might not like what you liked. It never gets stale and keeps everyone happy. And besides, imagine having to continue to deal with Mr. Incredible becoming uncanny to this day. :goosebumps: 6:5
FUTURE TRENDS: As long as we don't have another Gentleminions disaster, we're good here. Shaping the landscape definitely isn't a bad thing. 6:6
BRAND MARKETING: Brands using memes makes them unfunny. Brands barging in on memes unnaturally alters their ecosystem. We're not gonna count this and just pretend companies don't do that so we can just enjoy the things we have. And they aren't even a part of either Gen Z or Gen Alpha, they're mostly just older guys like Boomers and Millennials. And besides, if I did count this some people may think I'm biased towards Gen Alpha since I'm part of them. No, that's not the reason why I decided not to count it, it's just a little side bonus that happened to come with it. 6:6
