    54:55 as someone who is a recovering drug addict, I’ve been clean for 6 years from drugs(opiates was my preference) and 5 years from alcohol, I can 10000% agree with this. Addiction is a horrible thing that comes in all shapes and sizes, and it does not discriminate in any way. When most people here the word “addiction,” they automatically jump to comparisons and picture drug addicts, and they think to themselves; “Oh no, I’m not an addict, I’m nothing like those people.” When in reality you can be addicted to literally anything, whether it be gambling, drugs, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, food, video games, even certain actions like biting your fingernails. What I’m getting at is that there’s a terrible stigma attached to the word addiction and I’m glad that Sifd actually talked about it in this video, and explained the different ways people can become addicted to something.

    Atk-based on passive and on-hit
    Pay attention! when u got the atk-spd and the passive
    When u got "TOO MUCH" passive then the on-hit atk-based will decrease to appear
    The goo, meteor, hailstorm, and blackhole will chose its turn to active and thats why i think u need too chose maybe only 2 on-hit skill
    U can try that if u want but it will be hard run when reach lvl45

    the tree hugger upgrade is also OP, escpecially if you get it's second upgrade where you can get free upgrades from being in the trees. also just yesterday i did a run where the first boss upgrade i got was 120% increased attack speed (4x 30% attack speed)

      @@jtowensbyiii6018 exp is definitely bugged in some way, ive never seen it get to level 4 in my runs without a spinner hitting it giving 2+ levels
      it also feels like it actively reduces exp gained from dissolving, which definitely has to be a bug

    I know I've commented this in a past video, but dissolve is actually better than rerolling if you have enough invested into experience gain. You get the half a level instantly and any bonus exp gets dropped around your character which can then be duplicated when picked up for even more exp. With enough invested in exp gain, you get MORE than a level just by dissolving which allows you to cycle levels endlessly to grab what you want. It makes the exponential exp needed trivial af.
    Your opinions aren't always correct. They are merely your point of view. Dev choose the dissolve option and like most things in this game, it is very busted with the right circumstances.
    Also I've seen plenty of boss upgrades at later levels. But they do indeed seem to grow rarer as time goes on. Same applies to random floor drops. Game uses a lot of run duration to factor things and these two seem to both be using that. So not exactly bugged, but rather intended to function that way. Honestly, the floor drops make sense because they are mostly relevant early on when a magnet actually gets you a level and healing drops keep a low or zero meta progression run alive. The boss upgrade cards though seems like an odd choice to scale them back as time progresses. I've also noticed certain upgrades like tree hugger, idle hands and the combo explosion all behave like this as well. So if you don't get them early, you likely won't find them later. But rng can bless you all the same, so a long run could find something at a silly low chance.
    But on point with the reason I commented, my strongest runs have all been very dissolve heavy. Even early when the exp is trivial. If I see trash, I don't hesitate whatsoever. Once I stumbled into how powerful it was, I didn't turn back. Better to get the strong and rare items you need quickly than to accept garbage and level up slower as a result.

    Since Sifd loves theories, here you go.
    I think the dev implemented a system where the more attack speed you have, the lower the chance of skills triggering (20% goo) and the reason could be because of performance. Triggering 100 goo blobs would probably kill your fps.

    some theories
    Here are some speculations/theories as to why some of the effects might not be trigerring
    either 1 if a targeted enemy dies before the ability can Proc, say either black hole or meteor or goo etc then the ability will dissappear. aka the abity either exists only if the target is alive or the ability exists regardless of the target then it might need the target to be alive untill it procs
    the other is that you can only have an X amount of on hit or on attack effects possible at once. for example you can only trigger one thing or 2 at once then it stops and 1-2 of your on attack or on hit effects get choosen randomly to apply the next time you proc the effect. that can also be a factor as to why somethings proc then some dont
    another theory is that only a specific ammount of projectiles can exist at once for each type of effect meaning that if goos and meteors are considered the same ammount of projectiles and only lets say 15 can exist at once then new ones will not appear untill the first one expires for a new one to exist
    iternal cooldowns can also be a big factor as to why. each on hit or on attakc effect can only proc X times per second or every X seconds. maybe goo can only apply for up to 20 projectiles for example and only once every 0.8 times at most. If this is true thats why some effects might not proc constantly. further more if this is true alongside the previous argument about only X amount of projecctiles being possible of a single type at once that can mean that lets say Goo can proc only for 20 projectiles at once every 0.8 seconds but it shares the same type of projectile pool with meteors. if meteors can also proc for up to 8 projectiles at most at once every 0.5 seconds then even less projectiles will exist at once from those abilities.
    adding to that there could be the case that there is an error in the code of some sorts or an intended mechanic that yes maybe you have a 500% attack speed modifier BUT the effects are only trigerable at the rate of your standard attack speed or at a certain cap lets say 6 attacks per second or every 0.1 seconds + for every projectile you can fire in that modified. aka 1 for your base one +3 from the upgrade that is meta progression + max of X amount of time if you include the legendary in run upgrade that allows for +1 projectile to be shot at a time meaning that at 500% attack speed shooting lets say 10 projectiles per attack and factoring a base attack speed of 0.5 seconds for your character instead of counting 10 attacks per seconds times 10 projectiles aka 100 instances to Proc a passive it only counts on your base attack speed for every projectile you can shoot there OR for a specific ammount of projectiles per second. lets say up to 25 projectiles per second can proc a passive and you can achieve that either from attack speed or more projectiles per attack etc ( meaning that if you are shooting for 25 times a second 1 projectile or 5 times a second 5 projectiles it will be the same) and only these can proc passives, every other projectile shot by you during this instance will only apply its own damage and not proc passives or at least some passives. it might proc itself aka splitting in 2+ projectiles or splintering but not able to trigger other effects from happening such as black holes for instance
    effects could also have synergies like if a target that got hit can cause X passives (lets say X is 3) it will choose randomly between the 3 and apply only 1 to proc. or generally not only 1 but have a cap or a limit at what passive each target can proc. now that can be per second and every second that can get rerolled or per time shot and with each shot it rerolls OR only proc a passive and nothing else until the effect completes for example spawning a meteor and from the instance it gets triggered all the way to the animation starting the meteor hitting the ground and aplying damage to targets NO other effect can be triggered from that enemy, that can be tested by having shots that pierce and split and see if each split can proc its own effect (if proc them at all) and if they do but at some point they stop it means that there is a limit at how many you can proc. but if they continue procing passives then that means that each enemy can only proc one or an X amount of passives untill the effect of that passive finishes before applying another explaining why not many trigger without piercing effects and splits, as only the same most front enemies are getting targeted and hit and made to Proc effects instead of the ones behind them as well
    Lastly the game could be indeed bugged straight up and having mistakes in its calculation that may be fixed at a later date and time by the devs if this gets noticed a lot more often and not as some random bug or generally by a lot of players and people start reporting on that fact.
    Regardless of the cause of those bugs, or features maybe in some, the game doesnt cease to be fun and giving us the option to create some pretty OP stuff via the synergies provided by most skills. despite a few needing reworks to be made more usefull and less niche or actually synergising with stuff they are not currently to give them an easy power boost and allow for even more fun combinations and builds to be created. that way the game will get less stale and will allow more replayability
    many Devs seem to listen to you sometimes about a few games that you play, or at least you complain about something that maybe other content creators also do or simply people playing the game. so SIFD if its possible try putting a word out and help making the voice of many people heard in order to correct the game :)

    If you think about how the halo works (its bug) then the most likely reason why item drops bug out is because there's a max item drop on the ground that counts up until you pick one up so it checks how many are ACTUALLY on the ground. So if you leave it all on the ground at the end of the level then you get the next level thinkibg you have max items dropped on the ground and then its a soft lock since you can't pick up a new item as it will never drop.
    But it's just my theory, A GAME THEORY!

    Sifd's wrath when you achieve more then 100% crit chance you have a chance to multi crit equal to the % above 100% and for every 101% you have your critical hit deals damage 1+X times where X is the number in the hundreds place.

    A great-aunt of mine ended in debt from gambling, and she justified her frequent trips to the casino by claiming it was like a second family. Turns out she was very lonely and needed any company she could get.
    This type of addiction (we're talking anything that doesn't involve substances) generally happens to people with other serious problems in life left unadressed. People with a successful and happy life suddenly pissing it all away after getting instantly addicted to a new hobby only exist in propaganda fiction.

    I haven't played MTG in nearly 30 years. I still have my cards. I used to play a Wheel of Fortune/Elf deck. I could have half the deck out in play by the time my opponent takes his third turn. I also loved playing a Cumulative upkeep/forced discard deck. The cumu upkeep can be used to keep cards and lands locked then I would millstone and jesters cap the deck to discard from their deck while stacking it for them.

    I think maybe "n% on attack" items are per attack volley rather than per bullet shot. So shooting 4 bullets via meta progression doesn't actually increase the likelihood of those things happening.
    That would make a lot of sense to me. It feels more in love with what we're seeing here, _and_ would be a very good move for balancing the otherwise super OP multi-shot meta progression.

    Not a psychologist however some preliminary research into addiction in cases of gambling but in any case of addiction it can range from environmental factors to triggers. By environmental factors can be being around addicts or being in an area where said addiction is easily available. On the topic of triggers it could be as simple as a smell like a cigarette making a smoker want a cigarette to something as complex as a gambling addict who only gambles after their boss got on their case that day. There are many reasons for addiction and those who are more susceptible to some types of addiction but less susceptible to others. In some cases people can be addicted to completely harmless things like people who are addicted to chocolate or exorcize; however you should remember addiction even to something positive is a bad thing because too much good can be bad.

    I think the game has optimisation problems and at some point once you got a few those chance on attack skills game cant process the info and the amount of skills used are extremely less than before because on 10 percent chance it was like machine gun of goos or whatever but once you got 3 or more leveled attack on chance skills things are slowed down

    It's def because u cant do different on attack effects, like how explode and fire dont trigger on the same kill. Since the spears are triggered on every _hit_ not attack, they go crazy
    So keep the on attack effects under 60% for some wiggle room with mumsa and crit slash

    from what i can tell, the passive's like sapphire, citrine and ruby stop if you get enough of those stats from roulette wheels, i don't know if that's actually what's happening though but from what i can tell after 100% crit rate the ruby stops appearing so i'd assume that after x amount of atk% or atk spd% from roulette wheels you stop getting sapphire and citrine which would suck cause the further along you progress with upgrading those the better they get so for example if you rolled a 4x20 on crit rate, atk% or atk spd% then you'd have to dissolve every time until you maxed the passives.
    edit: yeah i can agree with that, when something tries to be unique it normally fails and then becomes the new trend of garbage to be copied, instead improving on what's already there and adding your own unique spin works better, if its not broke don't fix it but you can make it better y'know?
    edit2: i mean yeah, you shouldn't get a new pc just for a single game that your probably not going to be sinking hundreds of hrs into, if in general its time for your pc, its old and weary and isn't keeping up as it used to, then it's time for a new pc, a better pc, just remember to transfer all your important documents, files, etc. from the old pc to the new one.

    i just heard you saying that no dev make that when you choose an upgrade you retake par of the exp but you stay at the same level
    However it exist in the game who is the precursor of the bullet- hell game named Magic Survival and who is almost the best game of the genre (the sad thing is that he is only playable on android and it is in 0.893)

    I don’t think the game can compute what’s happening. I’ve noticed in previous runs when you get an upgrade to a weapon, it’s like the game remembers you have that and it becomes more prominent than the other weapons you have for a while. Your final guess is about right but also the game can’t compute it nor make the visual for all the things that should be happening.

    My guess: Most triggered abilities (Meteor, Blackholes) cease to exist if the target dies before the ability got completly resolved.

    If they just gave you half the XP back and reset your level to what it was that would be way too broken. You level up super fast in the beginning of the game, so the penalty would be essentially non-existent. Honestly even if they *didn't* give you back any XP but just reset you to your previous level it would *still* be completely busted at low levels. You could basically just pick whatever you wanted for your first 5 or so level ups and always get the same things just by resetting the level.

    Sifd, maybe, the "trigger on attack" only proc from the main projectile, so you have 20 peojectiles bonus this will only trigger from 1, which make 19 useless, thats why this dont proc as much...

    Another thing... maybe the game dev should make the xp stack together in big chunks, this make the game process less things, 1 xp orb with 1000xp lag less than 1000 orbs with 1 xp, also more shit on the map, more bugs cuz of probality...

    Sorry for the third comment on 1 video but from my observations I think it might be an integer limit issue which the attacks since when you have a lot of enemies, xp and what have you that some of those attacks are in that integer limits count instead of each item being dictated by an allocated amount within the total limit instead of artificially limiting things by constantly having a full integer limit using priorities however this is all speculation since I haven't seen the code.

    Sfd have you thought of doing a Build where whatever you pick up you have to take the highest card & see what it randomly gives you to see if you can win it.     doesn't the "dissolve" just return the half exp of the "current" level? like if you are level 4 and don't like the levels and choose "dissolve" don't you stay level 4 but half of the exp needed to level up again? its a reroll but need a bit more exp thing, not bad if you really don't like the options

    Why do you keep avoiding the magnets? When you have a build up of XP orbs on the ground those will help you level faster. Also, why don't you just recycle the perks you get from random boss rewards?

    I have to disagree with you on the gambling addiction thing. I've worked in the casino business (former blackjack dealer), and I can tell you it has nothing to do with winning at first. Some people just have what's known as an addictive personality, and win or lose, they'll have a reason to bet even more money. Hell, I've seen people gamble everything away trying to get back that initial loss. It becomes an obsession that stays with them for years if they aren't careful.

    You are correct, procs are broken. The only thing that works properly is Halo procs. Maybe its time to do a video with only Black holes proc to prove it.

    About analyzing questions. I do not think you should do them during your play, I enjoy you analize what you are getting and how to get more powerful. But, you could pick some questions and put them in start or end, or maybe, if there is really good question, try to make your play analyze it. (Erm, that word is not something I know how to write, apparently.)

      57:18 I wonder if it has anything to do with FPS. Like the game reduces some stuff to cope for fps loss. You seem to start getting problems when your FPS goes below 80. At start its like 110 120, lowest i saw was 4 or 6 fps when you picked up a magnet at endgame in last video.
      Like in the game "Right click to necromance". Higher FPS=more monsters=Difficult game, Low FPS= few monsters= easy game.

      I don't think that the black-hole is broken. The BIG bh rings that you see are individual bh that make up that ring. When Goo gets like 50 kills, It spawns 1 bh for each mob ie 50 small bh that make up the big ring.
      At some points you can see just one or few of those particles, I assume thats because of original bh didn't kill many mobs so they only spawned a few. Thats why it didn't proc when you only had 1 boss a few waves ago. Its based on kills.

    Do yourself the favor of taking your viewers' advice and dissolving bad/undesirable spins. If you don't want or like the item, don't take it. Get closer to the next level so you can take something you actually do want that much sooner. I know it feels bad to trade a level for part of a level instead of an item, but would you rather have a boomerang or immediately be 50%+ of the way to your next chance for halo or wildfire, etc.?
