It would sure be nice if FMF would help understand what the difference is between the 2 and 2.1 because he mentioned power differences so it obviously has more to do with just sound levels.
Is the Titanium Powercore 2.1 better than the Titanium 2? Keep in mind, I’m looking at motocross and I’m looking to maximize power everywhere in general.
Adam100A try a lighter gas to oil ratio, I use a caster oil 36:1 in a yz250 burns cleaner, top ends last over 50 hours of track use and never leaves more oil than a golden ring around the silencer
The powercore does not have a spark arrestor. The FMF Turbine Core has usfs spark arrestor approval though. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/ktm-fmf-turbinecore-2.1-silencer-p
@@rmatvmc ok thanks I'm not really sure what a spark arrestor dose and if I need one 😅 I'm in Australia and riding a zy250 in the bush , what would you recommend powercore 2 or the turbine core ??
A spark arrestor helps prevent sparks or flames from coming out of the exhaust. Important to have if you are riding in areas that could catch fire. If that is your case then the Turbinecore would be a safer option.
what are the power characteristics.. i cant find anywhere a breakdown between the 2 and 2.1 series of silencers. are they just quieter do they exhibit a different power curve.. more peak power less peak power whats the difference
AllenMoto291 AllenYother well dont buy a silencer for the power. The front pipe of the 2 stroke is where the power really builds up. The silencer is mostly preference and sound quality.
A silencer definitely makes a difference in performance. A shorter pipe gives more bottom, and a longer pipe more top. So a shorty is more a sx kind of silencer.
You are right, as a raw material titanium is heavier. But you need more aluminum to have the same amount of strength of titanium so they usually tend to weigh less. That is a good point you bring up though. Thanks for watching!
Hero Voltz yeah because they only make new stuff for newer bikes. Theres literally 4-5 companies still making 2 strokes today. If you want parts support for a honda buy a 4 stroke.
That's because Honda decided to jump on the lame train and stop making 2 strokes. Part sales for old bikes are not a high priority for companies like FMF.
Been around since the late 70's no, it's on your shirt...that's early 70's. Lol. Love the products!
those anodized 2.1 silencers look so nice
They are a work of art and sound amazing. We are digging the new 4 stroke look on these two stroke silencers! Thanks for commenting *Vinny*
m1ke2001 sang you changed your name quick lol
I only wish they made them for a rm125 :C

can you add a spark arrestor insert to the titanium?
Wish they made this for my RM250! Would love to keep the sound and power but quiet it down just a bit.
U can mod it to fit
mounts on 2004 ktm 250 2t??
So dose the powercore 2 have a spark arrestor??

@@rmatvmc ok thanks for the info
They need to make the 2.1 ti with a spark arrestor
Agreed *jbartziokas*!
jbartziokas they do it's the turbine core 2.1
No I want the Ti with spark arrestor. The turbine core 2.1 is big and heavy
why wont they make them for older bikes like an 03 or somthing like that
Wait you can spark arrest a 2 stroke
2.1 Titanium 🔥🔥🔥

2.0 look way better imo.
Too bad they're only for certain bikes. Not a single one is for a Honda.
true I want one for my cr250

Get a KTM or Husky then
