@@rail_spike_productions i wish they put it in revenue once or twice besides the extra run. Give passengers a fun surprise on their rush hour train to work.
@@rail_spike_productions That was the same day of the lucky express. Probably their logic was why have a full bilevel train go into boston if there’s gonna be a train with way lower capacity on the way out.
awesome video as always! i definitely gotta catch some of the extras, since their literally on my go-to railfanning line lol. also how do you know when the extras are coming?
Thanks again ! I’m almost up to 9 years of going after MBTA extras believe it or not 😂 - with time, I have been fortunate enough to make connections who can help me find these things
Yes I sure did, and there are more to come. The double-cab car sets only exist to allow extra capacity for Salem riders - they had to use a few cab cars since there weren’t enough blind trailer bilevels at BET to make the sets right
Very nice, I see it was just on 204. South side sets can be expected to come north later in October when the demand is high - these sets are just temporary solutions for now
If you’re referring to the e-bells that the rebuilt locomotives got, those are put in to avoid the maintenance of a steel bell since they require air pressure hoses to operate
I enjoyed the video those cars that stop for geep 1117 in the beginning of the video almost hit each other people have to pay more attention and also we will see how long 1029 stays sparkly clean 😅 and 1117 too unless they are already dirty 😆 I always enjoy watching your videos
Well done as always!!!
Thanks again!!
incredible
Thank you
@@rail_spike_productions your welcome !
Choo choo
All board ! Let's Go !!
🚂🚃🚃🚃
Nice video
God those trains are gorgeous!
12:35 I remember that! It later went on the "Lucky Express" which def did not need a full bilevel set...
Yep! And they barely did anything else with it up north that week lol

If I recall correctly, it ran a revenue round trip on the Haverhill line for the last outbound of the night one time

That checks out, I’d love to know how they decide how to run these things haha
😊
Rotem coaches do sound exciting. Edit i thought about the metrolink ones
5:20 CT- Connecticut rail

Use a one way radio. Anyone can tune into the MBTA CR frequency.

What did you use to record the audio? It played back beautifully through my surround sound system.
I’m very glad to hear that. The audio was recorded with my iPhone 14, which is what all of my recent videos were filmed with
@@rail_spike_productions Wow! Thank you.
Did you hear about the oddities of the 2010/1721 set and the 1063/1711 set?

@@rail_spike_productions I’m surprised they didn’t steal from the southside this year xD! And also perfect timing i just saw 1721 10 min ago

@@MbtaVideoClips just so you know, the laser train is heading outbound to Lowell as we speak
@@rail_spike_productions I’m in school right now but i’ll keep an eye out for it’s return during my study hall next block.
Why these bells are change to the gp40mc-3?
