I've got the 4070 version with the mini led display since last week and I'm very happy with it! Great display with wonderful colors, fast an snappy! The battery life is not very good, but for the power its really not too bad. But it sitting on the lap, in the summertime it wont be too comfortable with the heat I think
I got it a week ago to from Mediamarkt. Unfortunately Asus doesnt offer working drivers for Windows 10 and I could not make the sound work on Windows 10. I kind of hate Windows 11...and Asus forced it on us. Thats my only problem with it so far...

@@NotebookcheckReviews would you recommend this or the Zephyrus m16 4070 version for a professional and light gaming workload? Torn between this, m16 and strix g16! P.s: still patiently waiting for the strix g16 review ;)
@@moonfire5069 x16 if you need 2 in 1, m16 if you need performance on the go, strix g16 if you need maximum performance but are okay with sacrificing portability
@@switch-_-blade951 thanks. what makes it more difficult is the 13980hx in strix g16 has better battery life(lower consumption) and performance than 13900h for slightly extra weight. Also the 4080 runs monstrously cool with the performance of 4070 turbo in silent! Has me in splits. If 13900h has better battery life than hx i would get m16 without a second thought
@@moonfire5069 each laptop sacrificed something. X16: high watt power, m16: battery life, g16: weight. You gotta pick the one that suits your needs the best. Fix your needs then the laptop. Don't adjust your needs on a supposed laptop you think you want
This is what everyone wished from Ada series in general. The desktop models have a similar approach 4090 is leaving everything in dust and then 4080 is great and the rest are significantly inferior in performance. What I've have wanted from 4070 laptop is 12Gb vram with 192bit bus instead of 128bit.. Performance will suffice for some yrs with some compromises.
The Flow so far for me looks like the ideal device with its gaming capacities and touchscree. The battery life results in combination with the fan noise it makes really makes it in something that I am quite willing to get. Wonder how much better it can run with Linux installed on it as well.
I wouldn't be surprised if the battery life increases come more from the lack of a Mini-LED backlight in this model compared to the one tested last year, but nonetheless it is certainly good to see. If this model comes to the US I would be pretty excited, but that is not a given. And as for the 4070 model, I love the chassis but $2,700 for a midrange GPU is hard to swallow when you can get a Legion Pro 7i with a 4080 for less.
@@NotebookcheckReviews I think you're paying for the chassis quality, touch screen, cooling solution (3 fans) and XG Mobile integration here. Their US pricing for the non-Scar Strix models and the new G14 is pretty good, but there are definitely some corners that are being cut to reach those points.
Legion pro 7 is priced between 3300€ - 3600€ here with the 4080. Flow X16 4070 remains constantly at 2900€ in all stores. Given that I can buy this tax free for work I am strongly considering the flow x16 4070 mini led now. Unless they significantly lower the price on the Legion
@@bballcrazeddan23 i actually went from the flow x16 to the legion 7 4080, the difference is mental. the screen UNLESS IN HDR is actually better then mini led as far as im concerned because the ghosting was annoying and i could tell.. if you go to lenovo and custom make the 4080 legion with 16gb of ram and 512 gb ssd ( buy urself cheaper i did) u can currently get one for 2184 (2,515.26 Euro) with the first time purchase 10% off discount. this is what i did then i spent £200 on 32gb 5600 kit and 1tb ssd.
Great review! It looks like the USA version has 1024 mini LED and 4070 GPU. I'm really going back and forth between this laptop and the new ROG M16 with the 4080. As you have reviewed both, do you have a personal favorite? It's going to be my productive/work laptop that I also game on. I do travel a lot so portability is pretty important, but my guess is with the USA config the M16 and X16 will be similar sizes/weights with similar battery life since that LED screen sucks up battery. I think I'd rarely use the touch/2 in 1 features so that's not too important to me.
I'm debating between the same two devices. I just wish that the M16 also had a glossy screen to get more color saturation and sharpness. And that it wasn't coated with the rubberized texture as I've heard it scratches and rubs off easily. But it seems to have better performance for the money, for sure
I got the x16 with 4070 and 1024 dimming zones here in Germany. So...its not only for USA. The x16 with 4070 costs 3300 EUR while the M16 with 4080 costs 4000 EUR. I chose the x16 because I want the 2in1 and because I dont want a lid with lots of mini-holes that will get clogged-up with dust (the anime display on M16).
After testing both of those, the Flow is definitely the “better” and more premium machine. However, the 4080/4090 does have some insane gaming performance but the Flow is WAY quieter under load across all profiles and actually performs better in its silent mode than the M16 does. I’ll be posting my M16 review soon with some comparisons.
@@JoshCravesTech you can even reason that the x16 is a better gaming laptop since you can connect it to an XG Mobile in 2024 with a GTX 5090 or in 2025 with a GTX 6090 (or 7000 or what ever they will name it). The M16 has no GPU upgradeability... I am reaaaly hoping that Asus wont abandon the XG Mobile thing...
I feel the dig about "it'd be better with AMD" 😂 Honestly, remember the XPS 15? This is a XPS 15 that reached its full potential. Jarrod's very illuminating video on RTX 4050-4070 performance per watt shows that 100W is pretty much all you need for max performance, and this does just that. I'd pay about 10% more for a 4070 over a 4060, but beyond that it's pretty pointless. Honestly, if it at least had 12 GB of VRAM... There is just about no compromise on this machine, not for its category. It's about 2 cm thick, 2.2 kg, battery lasts all day, has extremely good performance, sleek and elegant chassis, fits about as much IO as you can expect, and does so smartly. The sound samples show a machine that's exceptionally well behaved. The webcam is fine enough. And it does all that while being a bloody 2-in-1, and ain't that just a smack in the face of the competition. In a generation where anything up to a 4070 needs only 100W to extract the full potential of its dGPU, models like this Flow 16 and Lenovo's Slim series become very appealing, as there is no real point in beefier designs unless you spring for a 4080 or 4090. And I'm struggling to find fault with this, besides the price, of course. But I'm already growing jaded to everything "nice" being 2500+ USD. For a segment that is "I'm willing to pay a premium for something that does it all, and does it well", I think this is a strong argument for taking the crown. The performance is there, the packaging is there, and it being a convertible kind of blows away whatever advantages any of its competitors that I've seen so far have over it, because there is simply no more performance to be extracted from a package this size- or at least no truly significant amount. Maybe someone fits in a numpad, maybe another adds a card reader or an ethernet port, maybe they have better speakers, maybe the styling looks sleeker, but these are the sort of points that I can see the competition scoring against it- which is to say, relevant but minor. And all of those, in my opinion, pale compared to a gorgeous touch screen and the versatility of a convertible. Accepting the pricetag for what it is, this just doesn't have any real sin. Do the speakers sound OK? Maybe if someone uses a magical cooler and fits a 150+25 Watt 4080 in something this size, but that's the one thing I can see beating this.
I agree once more, and sorry for the snarky AMD comment ;) I would personally go with the 4070 just for that MiniLED panel, but apart from that, you summed it up pretty well. And if money is no object, you can always add the XG-Mobile to this for a mighty sweet docking solution/desktop setup. But again, that thing is bloody expensive!
@@NotebookcheckReviews On ASUS' US website, the 2023 model is showing the same MiniLED panel on all choices. Are you sure it only comes with the 4070 spec? And yes, the external cards are really interesting in a world where laptop CPUs are pretty equivalent to desktop ones, as that tells us they will be good for many, many years. GPUs usually grow older much faster. It's a real shame the price hike on RTX4000s clearly affected the external XG-Mobile cards, I think the 4090 model doubled in priced or so, compared to the 3080 Ti? If only they allowed desktop cards. Honestly, you could probably do that as a mod, but who'd want to risk it? From what I read, the connector uses a proprietary pin layout/connector, but not a proprietary protocol- at least, people speculate it's using OCuLink. Theoretically, there could be a third party adaptor to this, I think. Or ASUS could play nice and just allow desktop cards, gah.
I think that is pretty unrealistic. If I remember correctly, you would have had a heard time getting a 3080 Ti-equipped notebook below 3k last year. That said, I agree! Spending more than 2,5k should get you a 4070 at least!

I'm still undecided 😅, I recently bought ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED 2023, it came with a faulty oled panel, you can see the screen door effect, it's like the screen has a very fine mesh overlay, you see tiny dots, like a screen door Very thin is very annoying, and I wanted to know if that happens with the ROG Flow X16 (2023)? I've seen that happen a lot with touch screens.

I have the x16 4060 with the miniLed panel and I was surprised by how hot the top and bottom of the laptop are during gaming in performance mode. I game on our couch with it, and it is so much heat that even with a 1cm thick stand on my laps, it is uncomfortable after 30min. My last gaming laptop was a G752VS with a 1070 and it does not get anywhere nearly as hot during gaming. If someone has a good laptop recommendation to game on the laps, even if it's thick and heavy, I take it.
I think you will have a hard time finding a laptop that stays really cool on the bottom. That said, we do measure exactly that in our written reviews. So if you have a machine that caught your eye make sure to see if we have a review on it and check chassis temperatures! www.notebookcheck.net
Are you sure you got a 4060 with a mini-LED panel? I didn't think they existed. I've ordered a 4060 one that says mini-LED in the item description but I think it's a mistake
PWM is a SOFTWARE solution for lowering screen brightness, not a fatality. It's perfectly possible to have third-party software lower screen brightness by pixel obscuration, for example, without PWM flicker. It would be horrible to have to do without all the beautiful screens that come out with PWM, if PWM were in hardware.
@@robindesbois9308 you cannot just install an app to stop PWM 😂 adding a darkness filter doesn’t stop PWM in most cases and only works when using a pc based OS. Adding a filter is also very different from just changing the brightness
@@nickjacobsss You can do this elaborately, and eliminate it in the Bios. Or you can do it the easy way. What is PWM? It's a technology that makes the screen blink so that to the naked eye it looks as if the brightness has been lowered. So set the brightness bar to maximum: ( Which here is a flickering PWM bar: 100% = max brightness, no PWM ) Then, using pixel-by-pixel brightness reduction software, you can tell it to reduce the brightness. It's not a dark filter, but rather adjusts the color of each pixel. To simplify: let's say the pixels, the colors, are coded in Red Blue Green: R G B. R, G, and B are coded from 255 to 0. Let's take an image where a pixel has its R at 240, for example. To lower the brightness, simply lower the R value. You need to do this for each pixel, and you get a flicker-free decrease in brightness.
@@nickjacobsss Don't you understand what I'm saying? If you leave the Windows light bar at 100%: you have no PWN. Then, Then, to adjust screen luminosity, since we don't want to use PWN, we'll use other methods, like changing pixel colors to make them darker, with software. Chearch LM Profile Version 2, its a software who can do that.
What do you think about the long term life of the laptop? I am getting the 4070 version in USA and was wondering how this laptop will hold up 4/5 years down the road?
I am afraid I have no way to give you any reliable answer to your question. My bet is to research about Asus's track record when it comes to long-term support and quality.
There's a weird theory I thought of known as buyer's grace. Basically if you think this is the laptop for you, it'll probably be good for you for like a couple of years without too many hitches. So why not 🤷🏻♂️
The laptop will 'last' as long as you can find the replacement for fans and battery. These don't last more than 2~3 years. I am still using aero 14 from 2017 and I am thinking of getting a new system but the laptop has not failed me yet other than the need to lower some settings in new game titles.

Hi there! As you mentioned before the most popular config goes with 16Gb of RAM. So, the most valuable question is - What is the model of factory RAM for the 32Gb config? To upgrade 16Gb with 32Gb of OEM memory model.
I believe only the highest model x16 (4070) has 32gb of RAM pre installed with 1Tb SSD. The highest x13 might also but I’m not too sure since I’ve heard that doesn’t have a dual additive RAM system. I believe they solder 1 ram stick onto the laptop on the x13. I might be wrong.

From other review I saw of this exact same laptop with the same specs, the price listed was 1850 dollars in the US. I was wondering why it is 2600 Euro in Germany? Solely because of the International Shipping cost? Or is there a catch to the US pricing?
Only few people know that 140w dynamic boost is just a show coz after 100w you only get to see at mere 4 fps + on screen while 40 to 90w shows atleast 40% uplift in fps ..so its like cheating ?
Unfortunately, this is the situation with the 4060/4070 this generation. Both cards are great in the 50-100W section, especially since it means you can have up to a 4070 in very slim notebooks, but for full-fledged gamers like the legion, it seems there is quite some performance left on the table. Which also explains the significant difference to the 4080.
That is a good point, and I am not entirely confident to answer. It has been a few months since I have used the original X16. It seems more stable, but not a lot. So it may be because of the lighter panel.
I think it is a combination of several factors. During our battery tests, the dGPU is not used at all, so the RTX 4090 will not have any impact. But since the M16 also came with a MiniLED display and maybe was not tuned as good as the FLOW, the convertible most likely performs that much better.
I want a quiet/cool laptop that would be good for in bed gaming. I would get this with the 4070 and that would be more than enough performance for me since I play RTS games exclusively. I just hate the fact it has a touchscreen/tablet. I'm not interested in those features at all. I know I could just use it as a laptop but I have too much of a hangup about it.
It really depends, but personally I do not think the RTX4070 is worth it alone, but you do get the MiniLED display with it, so that is well worth it in my opinion. We reviewed the 4070 config as well: ua-cam.com/video/vkD0JD9MvQ8/v-deo.html
Unfortunately, it wasn't. But have you watched our Z13 Review? We tested the XG-Mobile with an RTX 4090 with that one extensively. And since the Z13 and the X16 share the same CPU, performance should be very similar.
Im a uni student who likes to draw amd game. I was thinkjng about getting this laptop because i know it can game but is it good for just general usage? I hear the battery is bad and it heats up a lot.

I sent my 4070 model back due to a very annoying sound coming from the third smaller fan and the gpu fan even at low rpms. Very high pitched whine that hurt my ears. Did yours have nothing of that? Im planning to get another one in hopes i had just gotten a bad one

That is why we provide additional benchmark results. Your assessment is true for the performance rating, but since we have so many devices in our database it is always a struggle to maintain comparability while keeping it up to date! But I’ll take it to the team to see what we can do in the future!

I really don't see any reason to get give up last years miniled for this years 4060. The 4060 is not an improvement over the 3070ti .The battery life for this years intel is also no improvement over last years amd. But the IPS would be a great downsize. And its more expensive.
And you should tell everyone that model WITHOUT mini led has terrifying black colour level. I mean in most games black colour is a darkgray. All dark scenes in games are like if there is a gray fog everywhere. I personally don't suggest to buy basic IPS screen version. This laptop is acceptable only with mini led veriosn.
For most people numbers 1246:1 tell nothing (actually it's very average contrast level for IPS). And it would be grateful if you as a reviewer tell people that it's almost unacceptable for gamers (maybe ok for content creation).
The black level is in there as well. What is acceptable and what isn't will vary greatly between users. What is unacceptable for you might be totally ok for others. That is why I prefer to rather give you guys the numbers so you can interpret them for yourself rather than influence you with my opinion. But I agree with you that I should have maybe mentioned it as higher than average to give some context!
Cool video, but at the end I opted for the more affordable tuf gaming a16 with ryzen 9. I definitely would love the x16 form factor but man is it expensive and in times like these I do prefer longer battery life as well as better energy efficiency in general, better for the environment AND for my bank account. 😅
I've watched so many videos. Can someone please tell me in plain language whether the asus x16 (or the x13 for that matter) laptop will run my games without the mobile gpu. I don't want and cant afford the mobile gpu. but I want a 2in1 that I might as well be able to play games on. thanks
If you activate DLSS in the game settings, YES, even the version with 4060 GPU will run everything at max settings, including in 4k resolution. The Mobile GPU is only for future upgradebility or for 4k at 240 Hz. But for 1080p at 60 Hz this laptop is allready overkill. However, beware it will get toasty. I have the 4070 version and play my games at 1080p with 60 Hz just so that the keyboard does't melt my hands. That would be an other reason to buy the mobile GPU, because half of the heat comes from the internal GPU. And I will definetely do that in a couple of years when the 40 series GPU will become outdated.
@@NotebookcheckReviews I am excited for the redesign. Curious as to how it stacks to the Asus Z13 Acronym. Also for Ryzen, Asus ROG Ally and I hear it is XG Mobile compatible. Might trade my 2021 X13 for that. 😊

At that point, it will likely have similar battery life but be better in almost every way (apart from the Framework Laptops not having a touchscreen, but given my Flow x13 from 2021 is electrocuting my flashdrives and a previous unit got stuck to my XG Mobile, I kind of need a new Nvidia laptop soon)!

If noise were the only criterion, I would buy this. My objections are: €2600 for 4060 in a well built 2-in.1 is €1000 too much, I need 4080 speed (at ca. 100W would be fine), small arrow keys, I expect weak keys having seen lots of recent notebook keyboards. --robert jasiek
What do you mean by weak key exactly? 1600 EUR for this in today economy and market situation is unrealistic, but if Asus could price this slightly below 2k they would place it quite well.
Weak keys are thin, have thin material, wobble, move in some or all directions N E S W NE SE SW NW, are pressed down with too little resistance, do not signal (well enough) being pressed down significantly and obviously will not survive 7 years of intensive daily use. Unpleasent to touch is another aspect. I prefer mechanical but a few non-mechanical mobile device keyboards show that it is not absolutely necessary. Examples of good keyboards are Cherry desktop AES and Compaq notebooks in the late 90s. I guess there must be quite a few good desktop keyboards around €50 and Thinkpads of the late 90s or similar are said to have also been good. Today, I have not touched any mechanical notebook keyboard so I can only assume that it would barely be acceptable for me despite only 1.8mm travel. Among the non-mechanical keyboards, the best I have seen thus far is of some Medion Akoyas. Everything else is weak or rather weak. The next least bad non-mechanical notebook keyboards are Captiva, some Vivibooks (not with silver plastik), Acer Helios 300 / Nitro 5 / presumably Helios 18 / Triton 17 X, but these Acers' arrow keys are already too wobbly for mecand moving in all directions. I cannot bear using them for more than a few minutes, let alone 7+ years, and they will not last 2+ years intensive daily use. Believing your noise rumour, I would have bought a Triton but the sufficiently and clearly too weak keys will be about the only reason preventing my purchase. Everything else, whether Legions, Strix, Omen etc. is worse and the more fragile, thinner keys of other series much worse. Top hardware, good to top display but €50 production cost saved too much on the keyboard - this is today's notebook landscape. A 4090 but the keyboard is worth no more than cents. While I wish the 4060/4070 were better performing GPUs, this is still one of the best laptops around in 2023!
Or if they would be priced better ...
The X16 is definitely the jack of all trades right now!
@@NotebookcheckReviewsmaster of none?
@@juliam.426 I am convinced its the best 2 in 1 in the market right now
I wouldn't be surprised if the battery life increases come more from the lack of a Mini-LED backlight in this model compared to the one tested last year, but nonetheless it is certainly good to see. If this model comes to the US I would be pretty excited, but that is not a given. And as for the 4070 model, I love the chassis but $2,700 for a midrange GPU is hard to swallow when you can get a Legion Pro 7i with a 4080 for less.
True, that might be the case.
ROG's pricing is pretty insane right now, but then they do innovate quite a lot as well ...

@@Seanjones1990 thanks for your reply. Your info really helps me to decide which one to buy this year🙏🏻
Great review!
@@Valmed87 this is very true! Asus has so far stuck true to their word on developing a new XG mobile every year.
I feel the dig about "it'd be better with AMD" 😂
Honestly, remember the XPS 15?
I agree once more, and sorry for the snarky AMD comment ;)
I would personally go with the 4070 just for that MiniLED panel, but apart from that, you summed it up pretty well.
2600 euro’s, Thats what the 4080/4090 should have been. Now you only get a 4060
I think that is pretty unrealistic. If I remember correctly, you would have had a heard time getting a 3080 Ti-equipped notebook below 3k last year.
That said, I agree! Spending more than 2,5k should get you a 4070 at least!
America enjoys great prices every year while pretty much the whole world has to pay 3-4 times the original intended price offered in the US.
No the x16 with 32GB and 4070 costs 2700$ in the us. Other countries have a very similar price.

I have the x16 4060 with the miniLed panel and I was surprised by how hot the top and bottom of the laptop are during gaming in performance mode. Are you sure you got a 4060 with a mini-LED panel? I didn't think they existed. I've ordered a 4060 one that says mini-LED in the item description but I think it's a mistake
There are non-US variants from different places that offer different configs. I can confirm that theres a bunch in china with 4060 miniled
So glad asus is selling a non mini-led option, as I’m very sensitive to PWM, and it’s significantly cheaper than the other models (in the US at least)
So set the brightness bar to maximum: ( Which here is a flickering PWM bar: 100% = max brightness, no PWM )
Then, using pixel-by-pixel brightness reduction software, you can tell it to reduce the brightness.
@@robindesbois9308 making the screen have less red is not going to magically fix the flicker caused by PWM lol

Which also explains the significant difference to the 4080.
do you thing the hinges feels more stable lack of heavy mini led panel or they have made some improvement
That is a good point, and I am not entirely confident to answer. It has been a few months since I have used the original X16. It seems more stable, but not a lot. So it may be because of the lighter panel.
So you're telling us by spending 2600 € you just get an okish overall package? :( That's quite sad to be honest
Not really. Actually, the X16 is a pretty capable jack-of-all-trades kind of laptop!
Do you think the battery life is so good because of a 4060 instead of 4090 on the m16?
I think it is a combination of several factors. During our battery tests, the dGPU is not used at all, so the RTX 4090 will not have any impact. But since the M16 also came with a MiniLED display and maybe was not tuned as good as the FLOW, the convertible most likely performs that much better.
Great review, excellent presentation. Thank you!
You are more than welcome!
I see 4060 for 1700/1800 and 4070 for 2400 euro..which one to peak
It really depends, but personally I do not think the RTX4070 is worth it alone, but you do get the MiniLED display with it, so that is well worth it in my opinion.

Thank you so much for the kinds words!
an 14,5 inch version of this laptop would be sweet
Sorry man, but I have the same model and I removed the folder eSupport, which contains drivers. Is there any chance you can backup this folder and send me?
I'm afraid we do not have our sample anymore. You can find all drivers on Asus' website tho!
@@NotebookcheckReviews unfortunately this not an option for Asus. They provide some drivers only on the device itself, and if you delete it, there is no option to download it anywhere.
the speaker, how are they ?????
Pretty alright, if nothing special. We will have more on that in our written review!
When Triton review?
As soon as we can get a sample!
may i know your laptop stand at 3:00 ?
A really basic laptop stand from Amazon. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a link for you.
@@NotebookcheckReviewsi tried searching it online and couldn't find a thing, do you by any chance know the brand of the product. might be very helpful
Warming up to this laptop
This one is a keeper!
So 3070 (amd led) or 4060 (intel ips)?
I really don't see any reason to get give up last years miniled for this years 4060.
The 4060 is not an improvement over the 3070ti .The battery life for this years intel is also no improvement over last years amd. But the IPS would be a great downsize. And its more expensive.
And you should tell everyone that model WITHOUT mini led has terrifying black colour level. I mean in most games black colour is a darkgray. All dark scenes in games are like if there is a gray fog everywhere. I personally don't suggest to buy basic IPS screen version. This laptop is acceptable only with mini led veriosn.
I did 3:42, but this varies significantly from machine to machine.
Fair enough! :)
Which config did you get?
The all-amd Zen4 A16 just arrived in the studio for a video review!
@@NotebookcheckReviewsI was lucky to order one with the zen4 on sale. Mediamarkt hatte letztes Wochenende die Aktion „Mwst geschenkt“. 😁
And I will definetely do that in a couple of years when the 40 series GPU will become outdated.
if you want amd, this year model is x13 with 7940hs
I am very excited for that one! I really enjoyed the 2022 X13!
@@NotebookcheckReviews I am excited for the redesign. Curious as to how it stacks to the Asus Z13 Acronym. Also for Ryzen, Asus ROG Ally and I hear it is XG Mobile compatible. Might trade my 2021 X13 for that. 😊
What happen with AMD mobile marketing this years?
Very good question!
@@NotebookcheckReviews I was going to get an ASUS Flow x16 2023, but since they went with Intel and due to multiple and serious QC issues I had with the ROG Flow x13 from 2021, I'm just going to keep waiting for the Framework Laptop 16.
What bothers you about the Intel-Cpu?
My, that sounds horrible, those poor flash drives! I am very curious about the Framework 16 as well. I am having my first experience with their 13" version, and I really like what those guys are doing!
@@NotebookcheckReviews Intel H and below aren’t as efficient as Ryzen. I mean, battery life is good, but it could have been even better with AMD Ryzen HS.
And the flash drives were (except for the first one) dummy flashdrives; (apart from the first one which I did lose a lot of work) I didn’t lose too much.
And the Framework 16 I can’t wait for!
One of the great tech from ASUS
Sure is!
Oof, 2600 for a 4060 is rough. Even if it's a 2 in 1.
Cheapest 3080 laptop price were 2000$ when released.
@@vmafarah9473 What has a 3080 to do with a 4060???
@vma FarAH, even if that were true, I think you would have to make a lot of sacrifices to build/screen quality on such a device. Pure hardware specs arent everything!
Can someone tell me what's the stand at 00:04 and 03:01?
I think its been these two (affil links)

Awesome laptop. I wish I could buy it in Thailand.
Is it not yet available there over there?
@@NotebookcheckReviews waiting since feb 2023 😒Even 2022 version is not sold officially.
Utter stupidity of all manufacturers! --robert jasiek
tablet is good idea . but window totally not useful in tablet mode . its hard to use for pan , drag motion move in window , bcoz most software design base on hold the mouse button & move
I found it to work quite well once you got used to it. And after all, the Flow is a laptop first and a tablet only in its secondary function.
@@NotebookcheckReviews Agreed. I switch between the X13 and Z13 when needing to use a stylus more or needing a keyboard with some weight due to small flip up lecture hall tables.
Had 3 of the 2023 4070 Mini LED ones. It´s a quality nightmare. Rattling touchpads, dead pixels, creaking hinges. I´m done with Asus.
That sounds rough. Thanks for sharing. We can not really test this, so it is great to have that info out there for all of us!
where to buy stylus??
I got one from Amazon. ASUS Pro Pen 2 or something along those lines.
@@NotebookcheckReviews hey thanks so much for reply could you please help me i coudn't find laptop for my needs
i really like lenovo 9i which is like real notebook flippable too but it have iris
what i want is 360 flip+touchscreen+inbuilt nvdia rtx(not external) could you please help (keep costs aside)
Out of the top of my head the Flow X16/X13
And the z13 are the only convertibles that come with discreet NVIDIA GPUs.
they need external gpu right "rog xg mobile"@@NotebookcheckReviews
Not necessarily. All come with discrete GPUs.
if it was AMD though, we could have decent integrated graphics so we could play lower demanding titles longer.
Well, we did a battery test with the X13 and its 680M and battery life when playing games was the same between the AMD iGPU and the RTX 3050. So we will have to test more in this regard. But, you might not get that much real-world benefit on battery.
this is a great laptop!
💪🏻👌🏼
Only at the price of my whole families kidneys
That is 2023 tech for you :/
Damn, that GPU reaching 88C though 😬😬😬
The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a great cooler alternative.
You get pretty decent fan noise in return tho!
now if they just make 4090 xg mobile
They do, you can find benchmarks in our Z13 video:

Guys i bought 2022 Asus Rog Flow X16 with RTX 3050ti, Ryzen 7 for INR 1.3Lakhs ($1580) I know its a bummer but listen to me, i also seperately bought Asus Rog XG Mobile AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT-12GB for INR 80K ($972)
Total i spent (~$2550)
Now i have Best (2022) AMD Laptop GPU with Good ROG Nebula Display (Not Mini LED😌 but more than good enough display for gaming) and still i have a option to buy ROG XG 4090 (Maybe after 3 years when it becomes cheap) which is backward compatible so it will support 2022 Flow X16 - Future Proof
Is it a good buy?
Please do comment!
I want to desperately own this laptop ROG Flow X16 2023 can you bring buy this laptop for me in your country and bring to India I will give money of the laptop please
your face like junior witcher 3
:D ok
Too bad it's ASUS so no way in hell one is buying that.
Why is that?
Why is nothing ever just available it’s always a game of catch the in stock before others because shit sells out in an hour every time. No Xg mobile dock anywhere to be found. Fucking asus man
16 gb of RAM lol
Agreed, everything above 2k, should come with 32GB standard.
@@NotebookcheckReviewsf you only game, 16 is enough, at least in my case. Hogwarts legacy is an exception, but thats because its leaking memory. I use a program called memory reducer which limits the game’s memory and I see no performance loss.
In this case, with this price I do agree it should come with 32gb
is this laptop available in germany ?
