The racing is sanctioned by the National Association of Stock Car Racing, NASCAR. Rockford Speedway participates in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The divisions that compete at the Rockford Speedway includes: Late Model, Sportsman, American Short Trackers, Road Runners, Hornets, Bandits, Winged Women on Wheels and Figure 8’s. The track also hosts many different touring series including: ARCA Midwest Tour, Big 8 late Model Series, Mid-American Stock Car Series, Illini Racing Series Midgets, Super Cups and more.
Focused on entertaining the fans, Rockford Speedway’s family-oriented racing schedule is nationally known for its innovative events like the ‘Original Trailer Race of Destruction,’ ‘World Famous Figure 8 Trailer Race’ and ‘Night of Thrills.’ The Speedway also welcomes nationally-known monster trucks like Tail Gator, Devastator and Mechanical Mischief along with Doug Rose and his world famous Green Mamba Jet Car.
The Speedway is a quarter-mile, high-banked, asphalt race track with fan-friendly grandstand seating on both sides. The facility has been used for circuses, concerts, car shows, sporting events, swap meets, outdoor sales and numerous community fundraising events.

They always line me up with the fun stuff.
I love it, and loved doing it. @ Dixie speedway in Woodstock GA. Back in the mid 80's.
Good evening everyone!!!, From da U.P. of Michigan
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 That Red C4
10:15 - Reminds me of that video clip of the kids on a scooter in the UK with a trombone giving it the revs... Hehe
ANy9one who drives a C4 knows how ballsy it is to run one in a race without the top bolted down tight lol
Hey @misfit productions I came!
Hell yeah brother!!! Way to stick it out in the rain too!
@MisfitProductions although I am apparently Rockford's biggest villain now lol. That Corvette driver is the people's champ! Good dude, too.
Send us a message on Facebook! I have something for you. Thanks for coming out to the speedway!!!!
What happened to the spectators That place used to be full
It’s a Wednesday night show. Usually on the weekends it’s completely full
@@tspatz5410 Oh I see. What state is this by any chance?

These are great, thanks! Nothing woke here, unlike NASCAR... 🤣

Sparks from the flywheel/ring-gear? 🤔
I do like special drags with both cars

When announcers love to hear themselves talk
I wish we had some of these in California. I watch all these videos. I love Then What state is this by the way
Illinois
How do you go home in a Monte Carlo and say you lost to a Toyota Corolla?
i think something broke on the monte carlo. Sounded like it was banging off the rev limiter all the way to the finish line
Very very disappointed the corvette had to jump the start against the cobalt! Maybe next time they should move the car that does that back a car length
Definitely didn't jump.
Looks like a real legit start to me 👍🏻 - Guy in the Vette is a Boss behind the wheel.. have seen him kickass and take names all summer 🤙🏻
Don’t hate - appreciate
Announcer bashing? Personally I couldn't do as well. Didn't hear a single uh or um and the 45 people in attendance seemed happy 3/5 stars ✨️ 😂

If that Coobalt were a bit better on the launch, it MIGHT be able to beat that Corvette. It sounds like the gearing is to tall for the track. Unfortunately, I don't think there is much that can be done short of replacing the transmission (Check out the gearing that came in the 90s model getrag 282 5-speed paird with the W41 Quad 4)
Yeah, I think the cobalt would have beat him if he didn’t sleep on the light. I think it also is missing 2nd gear and needs a trans lol
@SC400slide Agreed. I believe he DNF'd a previous race due to a transmission problem.
broken shifter cable transmission is fine@@mstover2809
It would be cool if you could just mute the announcer and still here the rest of the sound.
The Cutlass needs wider tires.
Does anyone know how fast these race car wannabe's get up to on the straight away?
The announcer really needs to stop with the horrible Billie Joel reference every time a Cadillac comes around.
The announcer is so annoying
How many time do you see a guy in a race and rides the breaks for half the race
Mac Daddy Mazda gave the Vette a good run for his money. Pretty impressive...
