I had walked around Paris even in 3 am in the morning and I felt safe… can’t say the same about London and I have been living in London for a very very long time.
Thank you for the sharing! I also feel safe in lots of area in Paris indeed. Big cities have lots of varieties. Lesser-known places can be totally different from what tourists always see and feel.
@@BackpaCooking but admittedly I had only walked around the touristy areas in Paris, just along the river and i felt safe. Suppose the same could be said around Soho and west London but then I heard about someone getting mugged and beaten up around embankment.
We went Paris a decade ago … lots of pickpockets then .. for sure their number must have multiplied 4 fold if not more … bet every freaking sub-way station would have double digit pickpockets .. and they always work in a team of 2 or 3 .. and if you’re Asian .. you’re the prime target .. it’s really annoying to travel there and have to be alert at all times .. This French did say crime is getting worse .. but no tips from him how to prevent them … Here’s what we did then … I’d wear tight jeans … do not carry wallet or else its a goner .. only carry small plastic sip bag with a credit card and a few notes .. at the front pocket .. and she’d not carry purse .. that way you’re already safer
