    I'm in S.C. too, in between Charleston and Beaufort. Great info about the Meyers lemon tree. I bought mine from Lowe's on sale for $10 bucks, regularly $50 bucks. Someone had knocked it over and spilled all the dirt out, didn't look like it was gonna make it for a few weeks after replanting it but now it's doing great using Job's citrus tree plant food stakes.

    Yes I have a Meyer Lemon tree!!! Planted ours 3 years ago... it's stragly as can be! We butchered it down last summer as it was just a big bush! Dang those green lemons! I've had a little bit of fruit off of mine, it's been sooooo juicy! Been getting some black mold on my lemon tree, which sucks. I had no idea they were so sensitive to so many things!

    Another nice one Sarge! We're in Zone 7 here in Maryland and have a couple of lemon trees in containers. They've done okay but we have to bring inside December through February. Probably a better option to stick with apple and pear trees this far north. 😏

    Nice work thanks for your insight ,
    Q, what's your thoughts about peeing around the root base of the lemon tree , my grandfather got me doing that at our family farm and boy did we grow some Lemons not sure what's in urine but it really helps the citrus trees

    • @PreppingWithSarge
      @PreppingWithSarge  3 роки тому +1

      I never heard that, but urine does have some nitrogen in it, so that's probably it?

    • @gregleach5833
      @gregleach5833 2 роки тому +1

      Urine is an excellent fertilizer . It contains NPK and some trace minerals . Urinate on your lawn in a spot where no one will see you and call the police a few times and you’ll see a large clump of thick green lush grass compared to other spots . Your grandfather is correct .
