I love these stitch with me's. Just love, love, love. I've missed them. Yet, so happy you guys got away on Holiday.

I personally like this better. It seems the live shows spend to much time saying “Hi”. I learn a lot this way.

I agree, stitching is not about rules. If that was the case, they need to go back in time and tell those girls/ladies, that stitched some of the samplers we love so much, that they did it wrong 🙄 Too many words I could say, but I won't lol I have the same problem with my eyes! It's frustrating. BUT as long as I can stitch and drive I am happy 😂 Any time you want to do a live, is perfectly fine with me! If we miss it we can go back and watch the replay! Thank you for using the knot with the satin thread! I am starting a monochromatic piece and was trying to decide if I should use satin or not.

Hi Teresa! I enjoy these videoes and listening to your stories. I cannot hear your TV. I can no longer wear contact lenses. I loved my contacts. I have astigmatism too. I wear glasses and have 3.0 magni-clips. So, I can see my stitching as I look down and see tv when I look straight ahead. I'd rather have contacts and use readers. Wishing you a great week and weekend 🌹 Thank you for the lovely Stitch-With-Me!

I like this more than live streams. Too little stitching gets done on live ones. Thanks for sharing your time with us. ⚾️

Glad to hear your voice, and listen to you as we both have a bit of a stitch. I’m with you on the early night, though I don’t have to travel in the morning. Hope you get that early night, and thank you for posting a stitch with me!

Thanks for lovely video ❤ when I Stitch with satin Floss 2 strands I do it the same way, but without the knot I fasten it under the stitching before I start stitching as when I end the thread, but I found out that if I run the satin thread over a moist spounge before stitching it makes it a bit more workable ❤

I wore the Toric lenses before I had the laser surgery (PRK hurts really bad for 3 days - they do remove a layer of the cornea but they put a bandage contact on that you wear for 5 days while your cornea repairs itself. I don’t have some dead persons cornea in my eye). The toric contact lens made my eyes really tired because of the weights in them. The surgery lasted 10 years before my astigmatism started coming back. Now I’m in bifocals.

Thank you for a relaxing stitch with me.
I have got Astigmatism in both eyes , and the best thing that happened to me was having both lenses replaced with Toric ones.( they put your prescription in your lens , normally long sighted one ) I had that done due to cataracts , but you can have it done routinely. I have no need for long distant glasses , just reading glasses , best thing ever especially as I had worn glasses since 2 years old.The lens are synthetic ,made especially for you 😃definately not from someone else🤢
    Take care x

You could also use a half hitch on the needle like you would do with Kreinik blending filament to keep it from slipping as well

Another great video. My eyesight has been corrected by having multifocal lenses inserted in my eyes. It is the same operation as having cataract surgery where the lens in your eye has become cloudy and is replaced by a plastic lens. Normally the lenses inserted are for middle distance or one for close and one for far and possibly needing reading glasses. Because I didn't have cataracts my operation was at full price while my husband had cataracts so they were half paid by Medicare. Normally the lenses are fully subsidized but multi focals are more expensive. I also have an astigmatism and new lenses have worked beautifully. I love the fact that I can look at the tv or computer and back to my stitching with no difficulty. I figure that the cost of all the glasses and contact lens that I don't have to buy for the rest of my life means that I got a bargain. And it was day surgery with no pain then or since. Might be worthwhile for you to investigate. 🤓

Yes! You are so right about DMC's satin floss! It was funny because as you started to talk about it I was thinking of what is the 'right word' to use to describe it best as? Unruly is what came to my mind, and that IS what you said!!! Oh!!! I LOVE it!!!! We do think alike there!
BUT...I absolutely LOVE how this thread looks SO BEAUTIFUL in finished projects!! Ohhhhh, YES!!! I used the white color for letters that said, "Let is Snow" on top of a gunmetal blue-colored Aida cloth and the pattern was the front of a postcard! It shimmers on the finished product! I just LOVE it!! It just takes a little time to get used to using this thread, if you have the patience to get there with it! I also used this same thread in the border of my project, and WOW! The border just POPPED OUT!!! WOW!!!!
Patience and practice with this thread, and you WILL love it, I promise!!!
I have to say this Mirabella pattern you have chosen, IMO, definitely is worth a little extra work, it is definitely one of THE most gorgeous patterns they have! You have a very keen eye for choosing the most beautiful patterns!! Wow!!!
    BEST of luck with contacts!!!!
As far as stitching goes, I wear my glasses, as well as readers over TOP my glasses, and I use a magnifier! I DO look pretty silly! Hey, though! I can SEE to stitch!!! I'll do whatever I can to be able to see to stitch!!! Lololol!!!!! You get to where you'll do ANYTHING for "quality of life!"
I hope YOU DID get more time to enjoy your stitching - I do look forward to an entire evening of cross stitching myself!!! Hooray!!!!!
I hope you have a marvelous day tomorrow since it starts so early and after a long train ride where I hope you do get to take advantage of that time stitching!!!
I LOVED the video!!!! Thank YOU!!!

The way you finish your thread on the front you can do the same with dmc satin knot the ends so they don't become uneven then place the knot on the front in the square below or beside the square you are stitching in then when you start to fill the square with the knot in you can cut the knot off because it's secured under the stitches this way the stitches are even and you have no knots

Teresa you could have been talking about my eyes…. I have now resorted to taking my glasses off when I stitch. Please keep us updated on how you get on with the contact lens. Since moving to varifocals they could not my lenses right and I ended up with glasses and miss them so much.

So nice to see your video today on Sunday.
Thank you for the information stitching with the satin thread. I like the idea of putting the single thread in the needle. That will be so helpful. Question: why don’t you put the beginning, to put the threads under 6 or 7 stitches instead of doing a knot. Did you try that?
The earlier time will work for me. Sounds great.
I wear bifocal contacts. They work wonderfully for me. I have the close set to 14”. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Biofinity contacts is the brand I wear.
Thank you Teresa. Love your channel. ❤

It is irritating when I see people telling others that they can or can’t do something a certain way. If you ever don’t want the knot on the back, other options are to use a waste knot or run it under a few stitches on the back and the snip the knot off after you have finished that strand.
I have a co-worker who got the lense replacement and he loves it. Don’t think it was from someone else though.

It's good to hear your voice and be able to sttich with you. I have some of the DMC satin threads. I love how they look in a piece but I don't really care for stitching with them because of the way they fray. As a general rule, I try not to knot my thread unless absolutely necessary. However, I will if I feel it is necessary. There is no such thing as 'cross stitch police'. I enjoy your live streams and your stitch with me videos equally. If doing a live stream earlier in the day is better for you then you should do that. I have absolutely no problem watching the recorded version of the stream.
