i did a similar process on my dell inspiron e1505 and actually did it without any videos or websites. the fan and heatsink were incredibly dusty and it fixed the issue with my fan being on all the time. i had no thermal paste also so i stuck some tin foil between the die and the heat pipes

I'm able to remove the first 3 screws easily but the 2 screws securing the plate over the GPU are way too tight to remove. How did you manage to unscrew them?
try screw tham back, and then unscrew one by one not completely but by half

This model has a M.2 port to put an SSD m.2 in??? Or only had a Sata port to use a ssd 2.5...??
What's better is get a strong vacuum and use it on the open sides at the back of the laptop, won't need to open the whole thing.

What is the use of that gel? Can assemble without using gel?
+Aswin Anbarasan NO. Thermal paste is extremely important. your processor can literally explode without it. Just put a blob in the middle and press it home. Very important.

So ... you think you did not put too much thermal paste? It is not recommended to leak to all sides. Btw I would cure at least 3 processors with your amount of thermal paste, which you use on one.

Hi, done cleaning but now it doesn't recognize my GPU, it only recognizes Intel HD graphics. (i confess i rubbed it especially hard to remove old paste from the GPU) any advices?
