Kai looks like he's crying at 5:30, like it's all he can do not to break down sobbing right there. It's such a heart-wrenching song and the way they all put their emotions into it just makes it that much more touching.
I still can't stop thinking about her whenever I heard this song. The horrible and painful things happened to her was beyond human can endure and imagine. She deserved justice!
To put rl events into music into feelings... such a daunting task, yet very successful. R.i.p. girl, you deserve it at any time given... may your soul be in that one place unlike your tormentors.
Oh my goodness.... the beginning gave me chills 0.0 Well really, the whole song does, but ESPECIALLY the beginning in this live.... And this song makes me cry. EVERY. TIME. RIP Junko Despite how sad it is, I still LOVE it!!
The story of Furuta Junko will forever haunt my existence. I've learned about many years ago in highschool when I found visual kei trend. At times I wish I never read her story...but it's good to bring awareness about the monsters that live freely among us...Forever thankful for The Gazette for honoring her this way.
Funny thing I noticed while rewatching this, and I might be off in my observations. But from what I've seen Japanese audiences tend to be somewhat organised in their fun, rarely engaging in random excited shouting between songs but eagerly participating in different forms of crowd interaction, like singalongs. In this video, though, there is a lot of background shouting... And it stops dead right about the time Ruki first bangs the floor. To me this signals just how popular this band was at the time of the show
I can't tell if Ruki is saying "ashita" or "hashita" at the end, but either one would be equally haunting. Ashita would be "tomorrow" which would go along with the whole message of the lyrics of Junko never giving up, always praying for freedom tomorrow. Hashita would be "end" which would be understandable as well, like Junko saying "this is my end/this is where it ends." Like I said, both equally haunting. Though I'd like to think he was saying "ashita," even if it adds to the whole damn heartbreak of the song. ;A;
+pe z (prfm-ie) Eh? Well...it's a pretty understood thing at this point. They haven't really said it isn't either. Though Ruki has said before that people look too far into what their lyrics mean. Still, this is clearly a heavy and emotional song, and it fits the story oddly well if it isn't meant to... Who can tell?
Sorry to add to the confusion, but what I hear at the end is “yurushite”, as in, “forgive me”...like, the person has been tormented and pushed over the brink of sanity, to the point where they feel that all those bad things that are happening to them are their fault, no matter how irrational such a thought may actually be, because what is happening to them is equally horrenduous and irrational, unreasonable, like there’s no reason or explanation behind it, so their mind starts desperately searching for, even inventing and then clinging on to any reason it may find for what is happening to them, in order to establish some sort of... control over the situation the person finds themselves in, so they will be able to cope with it...somehow... Ot at least that’s the feeling I get.
Here in 2024 after Reita’s death… the lyrics hit true to my heart depicting the pain I feel. At the same time I wonder if this is how Reita felt before he was released to heaven? The pain and seemingly never ending anguish… I wish he is smiling once again.
Думаю, даже спустя 20 лет я буду возвращаться сюда. Снова и снова. Лучшие❤🔥

You can really feel this live even better when you know the story behind the song..
This performance, especially Ruki's screams, will always haunt me. But what really gets me is Kai sobbing at 5:30
ofbloodandstardust it's precious
This is still my most favourite and the only song that can make me cry :'(
Normally I'm not this kind of person but this part 3:58 just simply make me cry.

R.I.P
I don't know this song make me cry every I listen, Thank you The GazettE. Love you *^O^*. RIP Junko Furuta
The performance is amazing. But the real story behind the song tore me apart.
I wish her soul rest in heaven and karma eventually did its part.
did it though? considering the people involved in her murder were released and the "punishment" they got was really just a joke. : /
there is no heaven & karma. it's just cruel & harsh reality.

That scream at the beginning took me by surprise. I threw my headphones off and hid behind my chair. XD
that scream is everything, it gives me life and means a lot when you think about the context of the song.

I always heard "hanashite" which means "let me go" or "release me"
I hear "doushite" '-' why... Why...
I think it's doushite
