PITCH LAKE- TRINIDAD

- We took a trip on the south western part of Trinidad to tour the Pitch lake in La Brea. This was a very informative tour. I learnt so much about asphalt, natural salts, the history on how pitch lake was discovered and how much this lake has spa-like effects on our body. I felt like was back in school! Its amazing how much information I was able to absorb and still remember to this day. I apologize for some of the audio.

Did you know? The Pitch Lake was higher than the road at what was the scale. As a child we used a mound opposite the school to hide behind waiting for the second bell to ting and would run to join the line up for " Grace after lunch", undetected as the Principal left his office. Over 50 years ago.
I did not know that. Thats amazing. Lol 😅
