This episode was the first turning point for Halil, he started to melt in Zeynep's presence without being yet aware, the way he covered her with his coat, the way he looked at her while she was drinking the water and the way he huged her in the sunset light.....Halil was mesmerized by Zeynep's strenght , inner force and in the same time weakness, she looked so fragile in that room but although crying she stood him up and tried each opportunity to escape.
The way she said to him she is crying out of anger, not as weakness, and if he thinks she is defeated, just wait and see, that was a big surprise for Halil, maybe his emotions were not visible but his eyes were telling something else😉🤭
Halil is not used with such a strong and smart woman, he is not used that somebody question his decisions.
Halil will force Zeynep to accept his condition for letting her coming back to the farm with her family, he thinks that he will win the revenge war but it is just the beginning of an amazing journey for both of them, discovering each other, learning how to communicate without a single word, protecting each other, walking side by side.
Slowly but surely, Halil will broke all his promises starting with the first one that she will never come back to the farm😉🤭

Concordo com você!!! Halil sequer entendia, mas algo dentro dele estava mudando, algo dentro de seu coração estava mudando. Quando Halil abraça Zeynep para impedi-la de fugir, nós vemos o quanto ele estava confuso sem entender o que estava a se passar consigo mesmo, o coração dele já estava mudando, Halil mesmo que inconscientemente queria impedir que Zeynep o abandonasse, Halil já não conseguia viver sem Zeynep, ainda que ele não tivesse se dado conta disso.

This episode is without a doubt a very important one.We get to see so many raw emotions come to the forefront, only to be forcefully concealed hereafter.
Halil wants revenge but at the same time he's intrigued by his enemy.He has never found himself in this position before,he's struck by this strong need to protect the one he set out to destroy and is at loggerheads with these two contrasting feelings that are settling within him. He has inherited his mother's sense of compassion and other traits that serve as his moral compass,but driven by his aunt's thirst for revenge because of her unrequited love.
He is drawn to Zeynep in a way he cannot comprehend.He sees an arrogant, rebellious person at first and then his heart melts as he watches her asleep.He doesnt understand why she asks him to get out at first but when it dawns on him, he sees her feeling of vulnerability as a woman. But it is clear and he makes it clear by leaving without another word,that he never had any wrong intentions.This is a firm character trait that we see in Halil as the story progresses.He always deems to do what is right, without any malice in mind. His intentions are always in black and white.

Agree with most. But he didn't leave her without a word. He actually humiliated her further by invading her personal space to show her that he has all the power and that he can do what he wants. But he chose not to because despite revenge and childhood trauma, he won't cross that line. We can take it how we want. The point is he isn't perfect. But he's learnt as time passed along. And became a better person. Now we wait and see how Zainab evolves in season 2.

For new viewers following the recaps, a few connecting scenes are missing here, so hopefully this will help: Zeynep has been imprisoned by Halil in the small warehouse space after her rifle shot grazed his shoulder. It is his intention to keep her there and punish her himself rather than to turn her over to the police. He says to Eren that “It’s a punishment that will wake up from their sweetest sleep those who turn our most beautiful dreams into nightmares.” But for all his talk of revenge, he simply can’t part with Zeynep. That’s why she’s in the warehouse, how then does she get from there to the prison? It isn't Halil who sends her, rather it is his aunt Songül. She has raised Halil to crave revenge on the Aslanlıs purely for her own purposes, because Ömer Aslanlı rejected her. Therefore she has the most to lose if Halil falls in love with Zeynep and abandons the plan of revenge. It is for this reason that Songül wants Zeynep gone, and calls the police to take her away, expecting that Halil will charge her for attempted murder, and she will be jailed a long time. Halil is furious. Thankfully, a few unpleasant surprises await Songül.
It is possible to watch two of these connecting scenes on this channel, along with two other key scenes not included here. They are collected under “Episode 5” in “Playlists” on the Winds of Love main channel page.
“Onun cezasını ben vereceğim!” is the scene which covers what happens after Zeynep’s rifle fires, and how she is imprisoned.
“Tülay ve Halil karşı karşya” is the scene where you learn how Zeynep ends up in official prison.
“Zeynep, kaçmayı başarabilecek mi?” is a key and unexpectedly beautiful scene of Zeynep escaping, and Halil capturing and bringing her back, which will be resonant later.
“Songül'ün ‘Zeynep’ uyarısı” is also important in its own right and will prove resonant in the future. It’s the scene where Halil ties Zeynep up and she says “Don’t forget this moment. Don’t forget because I will never forget how you left me helpless today, with my hands tied. The day will come when I will leave you just as helpless.”

Zeynep was so cute, so innocent. I feel like kissing and hugging her that everything will be alright 😢 how ruthless Halil was, hate him! He felt no mercy for her. The first phrase Halil says is “kendini çok önemsiyorsun" which translates literally as “you care so much about yourself” but more loosely as “you think you’re so important.” The second phrase is either “iyim öyle?” or “iyi böyle?” (literally “am I okay?” and “okay like this?”) both of which can be understood as “is this OK?” Yes these two things may seem out of context. I was talking to someone else about why Halil says them. Would you like my (slightly lengthy) explanation?

Such a good question. Strangely, given the context, I think he’s trying to establish a consent boundary. I can explain, but it’s not a short answer. I’d have to start from the point where Zeynep wakes up, and Halil has two competing perspectives. I don’t want to give you a long answer, if you were more randomly curious. So let me ask you. Is this OK? :)

I think Halil’s overall intention in the full gesture, from walking close to walking away is to clarify that he does not intend to force himself on Zeynep. He intends to, and does, establish a consent boundary. This is not a recommended method! Once it was clear she was scared, he absolutely should have assured her from a distance and left. Why didn’t he? Because at this point Halil is two people operating in one body: the Halil who wants to punish Zeynep, and the one who loves and wants to protect her. Neither one, by the way, would think of forcing himself on her-he’s actually offended that she could think that. However, I think it is the Halil who wants to punish Zeynep that walks up close to her, with the intention of intimidating her and then walking away to prove his disinterest. It is still he who says “You think you’re so important” or literally “You care so much about yourself” and turns her face towards his. He means to tower over her, putting her in her place, but then, as often happens when Halil looks into Zeynep’s eyes, he morphs into the Halil who loves her. This one really does just want mutually to be close to her and to know how she is. He still vaguely intends soon to walk away to show he has no intention of forcing himself on her. But he notes that she is not looking away, and rather holds his gaze, probably because he is looking at her kindly and she does have feelings for him. He likes where they are, so very gently asks her consent to stay: “Is this OK?” Another way to say it is that he’s genuinely checking to see if she’s feeling OK and whether what he perceives as a mutual feeling is there. She seems to make a quick judgment. She did feel OK briefly but when she recalls that she has no idea of his intentions and no control of the situation, she moves away. He correctly reads her response as “no,” and immediately leaves, but looks kindly at her as he does so. He’s communicating with his actions that he respects that particular boundary, and will never overstep it. And bless them, somehow they establish a trust in that moment (in the midst of chaos) that will not diminish. She worries about plenty of other things concerning him in the future, but never that he’s going to force himself on her, and I think this is one of the reasons he is consistently the only man she will allow to touch her or even talk closely. Again, this is not recommended behavior! He frightened her badly and needlessly when he approached her after she already said “go away.” But this is how it happened, for them. Life is rendered messy in many ways by circumstance, by trauma, by illness, and in Halil’s particular case, some brainwashing. But when a measure of grace or trust results somehow, that’s something worth acknowledging.
