A Walk-Round tour video I shot when I went to visit Hegel in Oslo, Norway in November 2022, with Anders Ertzeid of Hegel - head of marketing. Oslo is a beautiful place and well worth the visit.
This video gives you an idea of the functions that exist in a design based HiFi company like Hegel, in a simple and non overcomplicated easy way with my immutable production values.
Some further reviews I have undertaken for Hegel;

Thank you for the video, Simon. It was an absolute pleasure to have you here.
Thanks very much too , was a lovely trip 😀🔉👍🎼
Thank you Simon for bringing us such an easy going relax look inside Hegel. They don't need to be uptight when you are delivering such great products.
Thank you too. I totally agree , and that’s what I told them works
Thank you, Simon. 💖
I love the doorstop,, 👍🥰👍
Thank for sharing. As a H190 owner it’s good to see the people behind the product.
I worked in Norway for almost 15 years and this is exactly how I remember it. Even those generic double paned office windows. I had them just like that in my office at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, where the founder studied. My favourite country.
Love the video and an insight into the Hegel lab where all the magic happens. Very proud to own an H390 and hope to continue to enjoy it for years. Now how can one get the official Hegel merch? Shirts/Hoodies?
Excellent, and the tweak was sublime.
Thank you, the tweak?
@@13thnotehifireviews7 when the Hegel gentlemen at the end uses the dinosaur puppet/extension and says “needs tweaking” was hilarious. Keep up the great reviews/work.
THANKS SIMON 🤗 FOR THE TOUR,NOTHING LIKE GOING TO THE SOURCE 😁 pun intended 💚💚💚
This was cool. Thanks for doing this 🙂
Thanks Alan, glad you liked it. 🎼🔉😀👍
Thank you, Simon, for showing where my P30A was "conceived" 😁
I was curious about its parents
Cool video Simon, Nice one
Thanks very much 😀👍
Great video an insight to a great company.
Thanks Stu
Awesome!!!
Cool, I have to admit, I really was interested to see Hegel of all manufacturers. They seemed more fun somehow. And it shows. And Harbeth speakers to test with. How great can a company be... Takk Hegel!
They are like that. Lots of the British ones can give the impression of being cool with dress down and trendy offices etc but they are pretty corporate
Nice video Simon. Been an Hegel fan since my return into hifi in 2018. Started off with a H190 amp and Mohican cd-player. Love the Scandi-design, the total package (DAC, streaming etc.), it's power (current) and sound. Nowadays I am using a H95 for my tv-setup and a H590 + Mohican in my listening room. Hope you will review their new Viking cd-player. BW, Ron
Thanks very much Ron
Such a small set up but interesting to see, looks like it would be a great company to work for.
Have you had a chance to listen to the new Hegel H600 yet?
Haven’t had a chance to try that yet. It’s maybe not a match for me as I’d need bigger speakers and a bigger room etc and the H390 is really a sweet spot for me. I’d love to see Hegel make a cheaper lower power pre and power system or a H390 without the digital section but just a pure soundengine2 analogue amp.
The H600 seems to be the next step up but matching speakers (and budget) is very important. Looking forward what a H390 successor (in 2024?) will do.
I am hoping for an new Pre P20A and Power H20A too.
Simon, I'm hoping you will review the new H600🤞🏽
I thought about it but as I said I don’t really have speakers to do it justice in a review or the room etc. plus no experience of other amps at similar price, so I can’t really review it. Also I don’t really want to be about mega hifi. Sorry.
Interesting that there was a Genelec on the desk of one of the sales team
Christian I think. Those little ones are fab. In fact I might get a pair.
The most cool looking Hegel amp at cca 0:52. Listening to the HI-FI music should be a joy, not a seriuos business. Most electronic and electro-mechanical gears are dull. This "graffiti amp" is not.I ought to use a word hi-fi... but after 3 years of watching many reviewrs I do not know any more what is it - High Fidelity? To whom or what??
Because it is a mess after more than 3 years of watching numerous hifi reviewers, and somehow I like them all... obviously,... there are no standarsds what HiFi is or proper neutral sounding gear is. And waht is neutral? Regarding to what? A "neutral"michrophone-s, stuido mixing, mastering or real "neutral"sound of instruments in particular environment? Every year a car needs to be inspected to some criteria to get a lincence to be driven... or in a racing, does racing car fullfill it's group regulations or not... but in a hi fi, everyting goes, or is almost end game, hi-end....
I suppose they have to tailor it to the audience and they know their market as to what sells. I’ve always liked the minimalist scandi design of Hegel gear as that way if fits more into living spaces. I suppose neutral is one’s own definition. A question of seeing where the individuals position is and then comparing that to your own based on experience of those or similar products.
@@13thnotehifireviews7 Well I also somehow like this Hegel's clear, minimalistic design... It is thesis, antithesis and synthesis. Will be A/B topology the second "dinosaurus topology" to die for masses?..We will see... In a sense of mass production - consumers oriented stuff, class A and tubes are dead ones... Bose system is the maxima of hi-fi experience... But heeeiii... there are crazy easterens or"chinamans" or crazy DIY-s with crazy stuff with more and more affordable prices.
and I like your reviews.... do not take my remarks personally, I am just discussing or somehow try to discuss...
@majtextwriter1794 no worries
