I love this video. Thanks Tony. What a great technique starting at 12:20 in your video. A great way to cut down a lot of trees safely. I would prefer having a tractor with a cab on it for this kind of work. Too much danger with dead trees and their higher up branches possibly coming down on tractor when the boom is shaking the tree.
Got ours mounted yesterday afternoon (finally) and played with it for just a few minutes before dark. I mounted it on the XR4145 but I'm going to move it to the TYM574, extend the boom, and swap the grapple from the TYM to the XR. Having the two tractors set up this way should really speed up the work flow. I'll make a video after I get the hang of using it and will definitely mention your channel! Thanks for posting.
HAY TONY... I LIKE THAT PRUNER / TREE SHEAR, SUPER HANDY ATTACHMENT... KINDA MAKES THE TRACTOR LOOK A LITTLE PREHISTORIC, KINDA LIKE A ( TREE-REX ) ALOT OF THE FIREWOOD GUY'S USE-EM... REAL HANDY & DANDY STAY COOL TONY... PEACE...
@@TonysTractorAdventure Driveway maintenance needs to happen every three month. And saplings I have so many would be quite a job with a bladed string trimmer or chainsaw. Plus would be great for keeping them cut back. I'm on a hill so ground leveling/shaping would be a huge plus. Given the size of my place I am just looking at smaller tractors. 25 hp maybe. Would consider smaller but I'm afraid of the slope of the land
It would be much nicer if the boom were on a hydraulic so that you could extend it in and out as needed. It seems to be a heavy implement to push in and out manually to extend. But, not sure how often you would need to do that. I suppose you could plan it so that you first have the boom in to cut the small trees on the ground. Then, once the base of larger trees are accessible, manually extend the boom to cut the higher up branches. How about a camera option to put by the blade so you can see where the blade is from your seat? Great video Tony.
All your ideas sound reasonable; however, every pound added to the equipment makes the cutter less effective. This one is meant for tractors. They make a bigger one with all the features you mentioned minus the camera. It's intended for large tractors and skid steers. The camera would last about 10 seconds.
Hi there Tony, how are you? First time watching you're channel, I was looking for a tree branch cutter & that's how I found you on this video. Anyway, here's the deal. I've got a 2002 JD x595, Yanmar 24 hp. Attachments, thus far: 🌨️ Snowblower 🌨️, 54" blade, mower deck w/triple bagger (which I now never use, blows belts), fertilizer spreader & JD 1500 Cart. Next attachment will be a grapple from Innovative Tractor Attachments LLC; REALLY looking forward to getting this, long overdue. I'm on a 10 acre + piece of property; 25 miles west of Boston. The lawn I cut is about 1.5 acres. Branches seem to get lower & longer each year, surrounding the lawn. So yeah, yes I can call the "tree guy" and negotiate a $1,500.00 a day price for him to come in for the day & give ALL of the trees with long low hanging branches; a "HAIRCUT". Now, this opens up a truck load of questions & dilemmas. First & foremost, does this company make a branch cutter for a sub compact 🚜 (24 hp)? If so, how much? Thirdly, I'm NOT electrically or mechanically inclined; anything more than changing a light bulb or adding oil or antifreeze, I call the dealer!,,,,,,,😅 😂 🤣. Trust me when I tell you; they absolutely 💕 me! If a branch cutter from this company, for a JD x595 exist; I guess I have to weigh cost of the attachment vs how often these trees need a $1,500.00 (for the day) "haircut"? I'm figuring, inside of a decade; the tree guy will make a grand appearance 3 - 4 times. At 4x, that would be $6,000.00 over a 10 year time frame. So, what do you think?
They don't make one to fit your size tractor. They stick out a good ways on the front and would most likely make your tractor unstable. I am not knocking your tractor, but it is just a matter of physics. The mini clip will require a third function, but other than that, it is self contained. The cost is a bit over 6k also. I am not sure of current cost.
I like that tool & would be very interested in using that around the home's which looks like it would help trim your trees in your yard & you could use it to trim up over grown properties.! If it's like what I think it would work!
This is a re-release of this video. The first copy was corrupted on UA-cam. Not sure what happened.
I love this video. Thanks Tony.

Each person has their own acceptable risk matrix.

Tony that is one awesome attachment. I could really use one around here. Thanks for sharing.
We will get good use out of it. Thank you for watching.
Bummer to have to re-release. As I commented the first time, that extra remote electronic hydraulic diverter function is brilliant! Nice job. -Ed
UA-cam corrupted the first file. This will hurt for now but hopefully the video will pick up.

It does look like a dinosaur reaching up in the trees
Looks really handy I wish I could use it for hour or two lol thanks for sharing buddy have a wonderful Easter
A person can cut down a lot of trees in an hour or two. 👍
That’s a awesome attachment!! Great idea! Great video as always tony!
I love the Mini Clip. I can't wait until get to use it again. Tony
Awesome Attachment
I have used the fire out of it. New video coming.
Wow Tony, your cap is the same as mine, LOL. ARMY. I'm very proud of my cap, its who i am, LOL. Bob NZ.
I appreciate your service my friend. I really enjoyed my time in the Army.
I only have 1.5 acres but stuff like this and driveway maintenance are why I need a tractor.
This would be hard to justify for one or two jobs, but the trees keep growing.👍

I will not use the mini clip on a smaller tractor. It is a bit much for the whole tractor. The T474 is about perfect.

Super vidéo.
Je ne savais pas que cette machine existe.
Elle fait un excellent travail.
Thank you. It does a great job.
That’s awesome! Great tool.
This is one tool, that I will get my money's worth out of. We have so many little trees to take down.
That attachment would be great for opening up snowmobile trails.
Yes it would, or in our area, atv trails.
Nice video, you've explained it well! 👌🏻
Thank you. Very nice tool

That is what I will do. So many trees.
Like veré the Blake coter
Ok that looks pretty awesome but i wish it would reach higher how high can it cut
It can reach however high your tractor can plus the implements. Some people use them on Extendable boom fort lifts.
Gray piece of equipment to maintain your property keep brush and small trees trimmed out thanks Tony what’s the price tag on that
It is a Mini Clip by Precision Manufacturing. Check out their website. I never talk price.
Thanks
😊👍 Wow! That would be handy to have!!!💪🚜🇺🇸
It will do some real work.
I could use that for a few days
Yes sir. It is a nice rig.
Where can I get more information on this miniclip?
I believe there is a link in the video description
Looks like a dinosaur.
We call it T Rex
