I just read the book. Her grandmother would be so proud of her.

I applaud this Professor who had a painful Childhood as Communism governed Albania. It's great she can reflect on her younger days and discern the ideology of indoctrination of fascism in Albania. I wish her the very best in her writing her book on freedom from oppression etc. Great show keep up the good work at France 24.

The communists were by definition anti-fascists yet behaved in a fascist manner toward the people they supposedly took care of. All States hinder their subjects in one way or another. This is becoming more prevalent here in Australia. Sometimes I ask myself which system is worse. Here they use the financial system there they harm you physically. I sometimes prefer the latter.

As both my parents were from Montenegro some relations lived over the border into Albania and when the 'regime' closed the border they were pretty much never seen again. So many Albanians in Montenegro hated Enver Hoxha for that move. Still I can safely say Albanians in the former Yugoslavia faired a little better until the events of the 90's in Bosnia and Kosovo.
