I know a few viewers will point out there are red trucks in this video but I included any paint schemes I felt unique such as different stripe designs, unique decals or just off the wall colors! I am a big fan of different coloured trucks and am partial to a yellow fire trucks. Where I live in Atlantic Canada our municipal Fire Dept had switched to Yellow in the late 70's/ early eighties but started phasing them back out in about a decade. To me the higher prevalence of red private vehicles on the roads now, including heavies, the yellow really stands out, especially from a distance. I really like the Fluorescent Lime Yellow that they use in Miami-Dade. There are several white ones look sharp as well but worry about them in heavy snow conditions as for the visibility, in the winter you almost always have a major fire in extreme cold and snowy weather.

Love the videos. One observation, always irks me when the light bar doesn’t work, and the cure is a Phillips head screwdriver and a bulb swap. 10 minutes max to fix. The newer light bars are even easier cause it’s all plug and play. Easy. When I started in 86 everything was still sealed beam rotator, strobes were just starting to be introduced. Always loved checking out trucks on MA calls and then seeing great looking trucks but the warning lights don’t work cause nobody took the time to fix it. Then hearing the engineer bitch that traffic wasn’t moving for them. If they hear you and don’t see you, they ain’t moving. Our society is programed if no lights no worries, lights-move (hopefully not always the case, that’s what horns/siren are for).
Instead of sitting in the ready room watching Chicago fire or backdraft for the 1000th time, fix the warning equipment. Your crews safety and the poor smuck in the car who can’t see you will be safer. Here endth the lesson.

Most of the time its the camera with der lights the camera wont pick it up someone it will tho so its most likely the camera not the light i saw a chicago truck responding looked like the lights were off but it was just the camera
