The fight with Deathstroke in Arkham Knight was just like fighting electrocutioner in Batman Arkham Origins. Arkham Origins Deathstroke was pure badass and the hand to hand combat was so satisfying.
It also has the best depiction of Bane. He was not only physically menacing but mentally challenging. He not only figured out Batman's identity but he wasted no time trashing the batcave and even killed Alfred
In some comics the writers even played with the idea that Bruce and Bayne might actally be brothers. So there is the similiar intelect and fighting ability.
generally the only reason deathstrokes boss fight wasnt good was because it was made VERY late within the development or arkham knight and also a lot more to do with the fact that players kept suggesting to rocksteady that they wanted more batmobile gameplay
Eh, I didn’t find it too disappointing. Sure a hand-to-hand woulda been great, but I’m alr with what we got. Idk, I guess I like to gaslight myself into saying Batman’s just not having Slade’s shit tonight and wanted to get it over with quick 💀
I absolutely think the Arkham series should’ve had more one-on-one duels as bosses, especially like the Deathstroke fight. Imagine fighting say the Arkham Knight one to one in a hand to hand duel. That’d have been so epic. This is also a reason why Ra’s Al Ghul is actually amongst my favorite bosses in the series.
This was my biggest issue with knight. It really felt like there were no "boss fights." Just sneaking around them and one-shotting them. Meanwhile, there are normal characters in the game that can take a beating.
another thing everyone is forgetting about IS THE WHOLE OTHER MULTIPLAYER MODE, it was so fun especially when you became joker or bane and i really hope theyll remaster origins to bring it back online
I played that when I was younger on the PS3 That was something else. They don't even implement that in other games as it was fun to have different factions while players being Batman and Robin. It made stealth way more harder as it's actual live opponents 😂
YES. My favorite part. You get to be Batman or Robin, while everybody else is either team joker or team two-face. Loved being either Batman or Robin, taking you goons out before you get to call in your boss. Great times.
Not really underrated when after this he went on to be the main joker for a while. He voiced him in both the injustice games and multiple movies. So no, not underrated.
@@scynapzyeah I mean going forward Troy baker is the main voice of joker for in the Arkham series, since mark hamill isn't doing it anymore and same goes for roger Craig smith he is more than likely the main voice going forward after Kevin Conroy's death
Also loved how you can go to the bat cave and talk to Alfred whenever you wanted. Could change your suits in game as well, it was a nice addition that I wish Arkham knight did better. The clock tower and movie studios are a cool way of showing how Batman uses buildings he’s bought as a base of operations, but would’ve loved to see a more special looking bat cave.
Problem was that you had to do it every time. Every time you loaded your save you had the default skin and had to then make your way to the Batcave and switch to the suit you wanted to use. It was too tedious and Arkham Knights system was better
Asylum and City have been remastered for the Playstation 4 and 5 , Xbox One and Series S and X, and PC. But Origins was not remastered. I highly recommend checking out the remastered, a lot of visuals were improved and looks cleaner.
What's really hard about the Deathstroke boss is how you can win an achievement trophy only if he did not hit you once. With that, I had to keep restarting the boss fight and take my time with fighting instead of continuously hitting the counter button. Battling Bane at Blackgate when he ends up in his monstrous form is truly the most difficult level in the game. Alfred tells you that you only have 10 minutes to stop him or he'll become too powerful. What's worse is that you won't even see a timer to let you know how long you have left until that happens. And of course, after you attack Bane twice, your Detective Mode will stop working and so you will basically have to wait patiently hoping that Bane will come to your direction. But you will also have to be careful that he doesn't rip open the grate or look behind him to find you.
I know I'm late about this. But if you fought deathstroke the first time, the timing counter is key to it. When you see the counter signal around his head, it's the perfect time to counter it. Doing it too soon or too late will result in you getting hit. I am the Night mode turned the counter signal off, so timing your counter against Deathstroke is extremely important.
Yeah I wished they would've had you duke it out with Death Stroke in Arkham Knight on rooftop somewhere especially recently playing Arkham Origins & fighting Death Stroke in that game.
I worked for Splash Damage who made Origins and it seriously was the reason why I wanted to work with them. The design, the sound and the brutality of Batman is so much better in this than the other games. They need to remaster it!!
Im currently playing it for the first time on my PC after spending years on other Arkham games and since it was the "Forbidden one" i decided to try it and i love it ALOT best story in Arkham games in my opinion, Joker might not be the legendary Mark Hamill but still worth it alot
You know, in Arkham Knight there is a mod that can change the animation of Batman's fights to Nolon's Batman, who knows, maybe a mod will come out where the Knight will be added with a boss battle like in Origins.
Recently played the main and DLC stories and I loved every minute of it. Bruce growth into the hardened vigilante we know and love, the side characters are likeable/hatable the villains feeling like actually threat and the combat is as good if not better then ever. Great game all in all.
This game is simply great, really underrated. Sometimes the details really good, even the cutscenes. There is one moment when Batman got beaten by Bane through an elevator, the Joker stops Bane to keep his word, which Bane says to him "You have 1 minute.", and from that point on, after literally 1 minute of a cutscene of the Joker and Batman scuffle, Bane instantly beats up Batman after 1 minute. And I really liked the Cold Cold Heart DLC, it is inspired from an amazing Batman TAS episode Heart of Ice.
A lot forget origins had nothing to do with rocksteady as it was fully done by WB games. I’ll never forget getting to play as death stroke or the multiplayer that’s sadly dead nowadays. But the weakest thing would be Joker being the big bad since it’s the main reason they wanted to do an origins game just to bring him back since rocksteady killed him off in the perverse game.
