Many quiet people have been abused and manipulated, but they can learn very quickly. I have observed a narcissist voice aloud, in my presence, just so I could hear “it’s the quiet ones to watch out for “, I did not respond because I could understand, and see past just the words, the tone, the body language, the eyes…..(hate, insecurity, contempt..) when you stay quiet, you observe more, you see, you learn to understand more. there’s a down side to being quiet, but also an upside.

Us quiet ones always pay far more attention then other people realize. We may not say much but we think things over. We may look complaint, may look like we agree but we wait to see if actions fit words and behavior's. I personally stick with the trusting someone until they prove me otherwise principle. Not a problem if you happen to be an honest, trustworthy person... if a pattern starts to emerge in our interaction with you where you come across as unreliable, flakey, don't back words with action, backstab people... we will eventually pick it up and once we stop trusting you well... goodbye, sorry for ghosting you, not.

Thanks, it explains a lot. I have difficulty following the crowd, I'd much rather find my own way, I'm quite the non conformist tbh which helps being able to see through a lot of the bullcrap playing out currently. Quiet reflection and critical thinking are also essential tools that a lot of people don't seem to possess nowadays, and also being able to resist peer pressure is another useful trait, in fact the more they push the more it makes me resist and refuse to be coerced which drives some other people up the wall but I don't care, they can get screwed. Reminds me of an old saying, the emptiest tin is always the loudest.

As a quiet person, with the anointed awareness that the video describes, it was a bit rattling when the world noise dropped to near silence when the pandemic came. The only noise coming was from the rule relayers on part of the rule makers. For me, it was more demanding to pay attention from being shorted that daily input than, say, the everyday input. My quiet person's senses elevated when i realized that the rules are vastly different, oppositional in some cases, when quietness is forced and enforced upon the not-so-naturally quiet, like birds before the storm.

this is me all out, just explained my entire being I will not bend I can not be broken i look at most people as if they were slaves to society, I am aware that many people do not even form their own opinions their friends and or family will provide it and they will get their own from from the propaganda they receive unknowingly. the social programming that goes on today is insane. I watch the world its passing me by but I am so aware of everything I do not gossip, moral virtue. I cant help but hear it. it doesn't interest me but i can learn a lot. the ego's around me I see them for what they are. people's insecurity's and need to fit in depresses me I want to wake people up but I can not it's like I am the crazy one. life is one big rat race and look I aint in this pissing contest. i know what i am about and i can tear people reasoning and arguments to shred's but i find it best to not let people close enough to even get a chance to effect my way of being. I need to find a woman who is like this but its near impossible when you dont fit in its like you have a disease i am no alpha male I am no beta male, what I am saying is I am no leader and I am no follower. I do my thing so its very difficult to find a partner because I am free in a mind and sprit ultimately very openminded but I am no fool. done loads of stupid stuff in my life I have to say I call it character building I am an ex drug addict of the highest order so i was a rebel from the start.

I can understand your worries about finding a suitable partner. There are very few women who possess these qualities; I know this because I am one, of 73yrs. Modern life & social media are dumbing them down & making them very narcissistic, unfortunately.

You were in a marriage and for obvious reasons had reasons to do everything you could to make it work. Of course we want to be kind to those we love, even if in the end you realise it simply isn't appreciated. In my experience 5 yrs is about the longest time that a sensible quiet person can continue to persevere against adversity in a relationship. I would be willing to bet that during those 5 yrs, you didn't always give in to your wife's manipulation, especially during the latter part of those 5 yrs. I hope things are better for you now.

@@justinmiles9096 thank you for your kind reply. Unfortunatly until the very end of the relationship I was totally submitted and manipulated. She knew too well my weak point: everytime I expressed my irritation or even disagreement she started immediatly crying and playng the role of Cinderella.Since I have a natural instinct of protecting the weakest, I always took her in my arms after one of her monumental scenes. When I finally ( too late I admit) realized she was manipulating me I took my stuff and I left her. After the divorce I luckily managed to get my house back.

My character is quiet, analytical and pragmatic.
I walked into a meeting of colleagues who screamed and ranted at me for three minutes straight.
I looked at them square in their eyes the entire time.
When they'd finished. I fixed the stare on them, in complete silence for at least another ten seconds.
This made them really uncomfortable, even squirm.
I then delivered my actions, told them we are all agreed, looked at them again for acknowledgement. I nodded and said yes. They too nodded.
I then turned on my heals and walked out.
    Meeting over!!!

I talk more than "quiet" but spend long periods of time saying nothing at all. When I speak, I expect you to listen if it's addressed to you. I'll make sure you hear. Most of this is spot on. The less you engage with people directly about your already-formed ideas, the less they try to pull you away from your values. I'm no king or general but I live a relatively peaceful life.

There's a few ways to control quiet people.
First is planting seeds of doubt, and then letting them think about it. Because most of their thinking is internalized, it will bounce around and possibly manifest in a way that makes them agree with your agenda.
Second, there's mood swings. Since they aren't emotionless robots, they will have some vulnerability with emotions. These emotions can be controlled by affecting things they like or hate, depending on what you want from them. This will either make them open up to you, or make them very angry. Either way, they are now vulnerable to manipulation tactics.
Third, is temptation. Offer them something they desire above anything in exchange for a favor or two. A lonely quiet mind always has a longing for something else, you just gotta find out what it is.
Fourth, is drugs. Under the influence, even quiet peoples walls come down and they show their true faces and motivations. This can be used for most people as well.
Fifth, is thoroughly planned deception. You could "save them" from a group of attackers who you hired or know, and gain their trust that way. Then you talk with them a bit and act friendly with them, offering to exchange numbers and maybe hangout later. Then you slowly become their best friend and confidant, until you have a juicy piece of info to blackmail them with. It's super shitty, but it would work unless they really don't care about their social image. It's also extremely difficult, since they can see through most lies on the spot.
There's other ways as well, but I don't want to type a wall on how to manipulate people.

That's not how to manipulate quiet ppl. That's how to manipulate emotional damages individuals. 1) Doubt only works when they themselves already have doubts to begin with. 2) emotional manipulation only works if they trust you and most "quiet" ppl are really internally judging you like why is this person saying such things. They seem kinda off. 3) Quiet doesn't equate to coveting so for the most part the quiet person pretty much can talk themselves into not needing xyz so temptation is not likely. 4) Unless you sneak drug them they won't take it bc quiet ppl are suspecting of others in general or unless they have existing emotional damage bc like I said they talk themselves out of "needing" things bc they don't want to be bothered which is why they are quiet. 5) Your treading on psychopathic tendency/territory.
Quiet people, by the definition are thinkers bc that's how they organize their thoughts -by being quiet. You will be very hard pressed to out thinking a quiet person. It's the dif between extrovert and introverts. Some ppl think out loud and some think inside their head and if they are quiet, you can be sure they are thinking of all angles to a problem or situation. Most talkers are ppl who have a need to fill the dead air space which is a reason why they have problems assessing situations bc silence given them anxiety so they feel the need to talk to fill the space. But quiet ppl will take the silent time to work things out in their head bc they have no feelings of anxiety with silence where most ppl get uncomfortable without sound.
