  • Hello, thank you for listening to our music. I hope it gives you some joy and pleasure.
I am pleased that you have discovered our music through this medium. I view this experience as the equivalent of previewing a record in a record store in days of old. However, if you wish to experience the music in its' fullest form, I would strongly encourage you to acquire it in a physical format you can bring into your home. Not only will you then be able to experience the richest version of the music sonically, but you will also be afforded the opportunity to enjoy the tangible artwork, which was conceived in tandem with the music, and serves as a further portal to experiencing the total conceptual and spiritual and emotional content of the work we have labored, lovingly, to bring to you.
    I love you,
    - Michael Gira / Swans / Young God Records

One of the greatest sonic offerings to human kind. Truly a gift to the world. Falling victim to this infectious rhythm of dissonance and beauty. This ocean is bottomless and the darkness inviting. I am lulled into the trance as my limited self dissolves and the infinite pulls me close. The empty void just loves the form that trickles from its belly.

Thanks to you, Michael, and to The Swans for your music, which is a great inspiration . I discovered it live two weeks ago in La Rochelle, and I go back through your past albums. I really appreciate the generosity of your presentation, reflecting what I felt after the telluric, violent experience of the show : love and understanding between musicians and towards the audience .

I was extremely pissed today, and unreasonably hard on myself, but I decided to go out for a run and just try to kill the anger away and I did a pretty good job at it. This track is what I played while sprinting as fast as I could until I just wanted to drop dead. Maybe the first time I put anger to a good use.
